{F/N} was always full of questions.

She often wondered why she was existant on this world, contemplating the true meaning of life. Wasn't she merely a figment of someone's imagination? Did she really exist, or was this all a wicked dream she ended up in?

What if all of this had been a dream of hers, and the entire life she lived until now was simply something her mind wanted her to experience? She'd wake up at any given time and wake up, years younger and realizing this had yet to happen or maybe wouldn't happen at all – who said this wasn't all scripted?

{F/N}'s mind was always filled with these thoughts during certain classes, and she got scolded about it very often. Exams were coming up, and now really wasn't the time to slack off.

But say that this was just somebody's imagination, say she was in another universe. Would it matter what she did now? In a few minutes she'd wake up, and all of the time and effort she spent would have gone to waste.

She always believed in that theory, but when she found herself gradually falling in love, she started doubting it. Just like in stories, there was usually a 'happily ever after', right? Then surely, her life would have one as well. But when would she find it? And who was to say that she'd be 'awake' for this?

Lunchtime was right around the corner as she continued to scribble away in her notebook, not expecting Iwaizumi to be waiting at her table. He quietly peeked at the words but was caught in the act soon enough, when the girl accidentally dropped her pen.

"A-Ah, Hajime..."

Iwaizumi shook his head and grabbed her bag, swinging it over his shoulder and sighing when realizing she hadn't paid any attention to class – again. "What were you thinking about this time?"

{F/N}'s face burned with red because of the surprise question as she puffed her cheeks, averting her gaze from the taller male. "You know... Stuff..."

"What kind of stuff?"

"Just, you know, stuff-stuff."

Iwaizumi cocked a brow, "Stuff-stuff...?"

"Secret stuff, okay!" {F/N} laughed before punching his arm, soon grabbing his wrist and pulling him towards their usual spot outside.

Iwaizumi used this to his advantage and intertwined his fingers with hers somewhere in the process, which the girl didn't notice until they were seated on the tiles. When she did realize, she blushed even more than she was before – but she didn't do anything against it.

Next to the serious thoughts she had during classes, the boy was the only thing on her mind. She was helplessly in love at this point, and she genuinely wondered what happened to 'gradually'.

"Do you... Do you think it's dumb to think that the life we live right at this moment is all somebody's imagination?"

Iwaizumi tilted his head and gave it some thought, grabbing his lunch with his free hand and trying to open it to get some food. "I don't think about it that way myself, but I don't think it's dumb. I can see where you're coming from with it."

{F/N}'s eyes widened, "Y-You do?"

"Yeah, I do. Besides, you're the one saying it, so it must be right. I can't recall you ever being wrong about stuff like this."

{F/N} was able to smile at the trust he had placed in her, but she couldn't help but hope she was wrong this time. Everything seemed to go well for her right now, and it almost looked like it went too well – her hand was still holding his, and he hadn't even mentioned it at all.

"I really do hope I'm wrong this time," She said, "I... I really don't want this life to be a dream."

Iwaizumi laughed at how sincere her voice sounded, knowing she was genuinely upset about this dilemma going on in her head. "There's a way to find out."

Now, {F/N} was curious.

"There is?"

"Yeah. When you usually wake up from a dream, what's the cause?"

"Uh... Something really bad or really good happens?"

The male nodded in understanding before turning towards his friend, "Alright, let's keep that in mind then, and let's see if this wakes you up."

Without giving her a chance to think about his words he connected his lips with hers, which left the girl trembling in fear of doing something wrong. It was her first kiss after all – could you blame her?

Iwaizumi pulled away with a slight grin on his face, that grin only growing wider when seeing how red {F/N} had become. "How was that?"

"R-Really good..." She stuttered in reply, not fully realizing what she was saying as she was still taken aback by it.

"You still seem awake to me, so I guess this isn't a dream, huh?"

"I-I... Wh-Wha-..."

The ace couldn't help but chuckle as he kissed her lips once again, wanting her to stop making things complicated. "Stop overthinking things, okay? Just focus on that what's going on right now, and forget about all else."

Call me dumb all you want, but I genuinely wonder about this every day xD

This one's long overdue as I started this one months ago, but I finally got around to finishing it... Hope it's not too bad, haha~
