"AKAASHIIII!" Bokuto yelled, his words echoeing through the gym as all the present teams and players stopped practicing their plays.
Akaashi sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, knowing that whatever the captain had to mention would be totally irrelevant to volleyball. "Yes, Bokuto-san?"
"DID YOU HEAR?!"
The doors to the gymansium opened and Zoé came walking in with ears covered by her hands, trying to block out the loudness of the captain's voice and groaning when he wouldn't shut up. "You're too loud..."
Kuroo gained a smirk on his face as he dropped his elbow on the girl's shoulder, bringing his lips closer to her ear and his voice to a whisper to try and 'support' her. "I can always make your scream overtake his sh-"
"No, thank you."
Akaashi tilted his head and crossed his arms, softly tapping his foot against the gym floor as he began to grow impatient. "What was it you wanted to say, Bokuto-san?"
"ZOÉ HIT 5K READS!"
The girl nervously waved her hands in front of her chest at the mention, "I-It's not really a big d-"
"Hwah! How many reads is that?!"
"That's five thousand, Hinata, dumbass!"
"A-Ano...-"
"Y-Yaku-san, what do we do?!" Shibayama panicked, seeing his fellow libero awkwardly scratch the back of his neck. "I'm sure she'll be fine..."
Lev nodded, "And with Yaku-san's height, there's no way he could've helped her!"
Daichi grinned nervously as he watched the libero deliver his famed roundhouse kick to the Russian, not knowing what to do with the mess of teens in front of him.
Suga chuckled and placed a finger to his chin, his mind wandering off to lots of places before an idea struck his mind. "We barely even know anything about her, don't we?"
The brunette smiled and wanted to answer him, but Bokuto and Kuroo's chatter overtook all the sounds she could make – and it was starting to get on her nerves.
"Hey, hey, hey! We should celebrate!"
"Sounds good. Let's make her scr-" "I already said no to that earlier! Now can both of you shut up for a minute?!"
She let out a sigh and raked a hand through her hair, managing to drop in a soft smile before speaking. "Ask away!"
Tanaka and Nishinoya had stars in their eyes as they surrounded her, making her and everyone else around her uncomfortable with the questions they asked.
"What are your opinions on Kiyoko-san?"
"I'm the best Ace, right?!"
"Ryuu, I was first!"
"Noya-san?!"
Zoé's eye began to twitch at how their words had nothing to do with her and tried to remain calm, clapping her hands together and looking around the room whilst startling everyone with the collected face she tried to pull. "Does anyone else have relevant questions?"
Yamaguchi swallowed loudly, but was the first one that seemed to have a proper question ready. "W-What do you like to do? You're always here, watching us play..."
The girl smiled and was happy to share the information with him, "Well, I really like to sing and dance, not to forget about writing! Gaming's pretty fun too."
"Gamer girl, huh?" Kuroo noted, resting his hand on her shoulder but watching as it was swatted off.
"Paws off."
"You don't like people touching you, do you?"
"No, not if it's not needed. Got anything useful to ask?"
"Didn't you only come here to study? Where were you born?"
Zoé shifted her weight to one side moved away from the captain, stopping next to Iwaizumi before starting her talk again. "The Netherlands. Y'know, that country that's like fifty percent below sea level and is known for hookers and drugs."
"Bad influence on you, I see."
"HEY."
Iwaizumi shook his head with a smile and ruffled the girl's hair, making her look up at the male and blushing a little.
"Iwa-chan! I wanted to do that!"
"Shut up, Shittykawa! Wasn't there a question you wanted to ask?"
"Right, right! Ne, Zoé-chan, who of us do you like the most?"
The girl didn't hesitate in pointing at her favorite player with a bright grin on her face, and the boy in question's face reddened when he realized Zoé was talking about him. "That'd be Morisuke-kun~"
"Hah?!"
"What did you expect, Assikawa?!"
"So me- Iwa-chan, that hurt!"
The girl nervously scratched the side of her cheek and tilted her head, silently trying to escape the horde of hormonal teens and successfully reaching the outsides while listening to the males make a big fuss about her statement.
"Well," She sighed, "Since their questions weren't that great, I'll tell you some things myself. Hey, hey, hey, my name's Zoé and I'm a fifteen year old girl at the time of telling you this. I was born on the tenth of April in the Netherlands, with a Dutch mother and an American father.
My favorite color is lime green, and my lucky number is eleven for those that care about that. I'm a sucker for sports animes and love reading fanfictions and mangas, not to forget about yaoi and my unhealthy obsession with writing stories.
I'm also weak for olives and flanels, and I love making friends! I'll be shy at first, but when I get comfortable... Oh god, hide.
Anyways, I want to thank you guys for getting this book to five thousand reads! These volleyball dorks have been of great help, and I can't be any more grateful. I hope I can create content that will bring some enjoyment, and if there's anything you'd like to know, don't hesitate to ask!"
She bowed down with a last smile before waving goodbye, wanting to quickly go home before anyone would see her.
"See you next time!"
