{F/N} leaned her elbow on the kitchen counter as she stared out of the window, letting out a happy sigh when seeing her daughter play with her husband. She and Daichi had been together for eight years now, married for four and friends since birth. She couldn't imagine a life without him, and it made her so much happier to know he couldn't imagine a life without her either.

Her smile grew wider when the rays of sun cast upon her family, and – if that was even possible – it grew again when Daichi smiled at her from outside. The sight still sent flutters to her stomach, and anyone that came across the two of them would still think they were newly weds.

"You two are gross," Daichi's slightly younger brother piped in, "Way too gross."

{F/N} hadn't even heard him come in and rolled her eyes with a smile, before throwing an apron at him and pointing at a fridge. "I'll remember that when you find yourself a girlfriend and have children with her. Now get cooking, your parents will be here in an hour and I sort of promised that you'd cook for us."

Daichi's brother groaned but agreed eventually, finding an opportunity to brag and put what he learned in his culinary class to use.

{F/N} smirked when seeing him get to work before taking off her own apron, then heading outside to enjoy the warm temperature and look at her playing family from up close. {Daughter} was chasing Daichi so she could get onto his back, but of course, Daichi wouldn't let her have it that easily.

The two were a giggling mess as they ran around the garden, not even noticing {F/N}'s presence before {Daughter} stopped chasing Daichi and started looking for a flower. Daichi didn't understand but felt his hand being grabbed by his daughter, who then dragged him through the entire yard, which made {F/N} laugh.

When {Daughter} finally found one, she gave it to Daichi and stood on her tippy toes, whispering so {F/N} wouldn't hear her. "Go give this to mommy!"

Daichi smiled and ruffled the girl's hair, before shaking his head. "Don't you want to give it to her?"

{Daughter} shook her head even faster and pushed against her father's legs, wanting him to get going and give the flower to her mother. Daichi chuckled, but he didn't refuse.

He hid the flower behind his back in hopes of it being a surprise, but {F/N} already caught it. "That's a nice flower you got there," She chuckled, "You better take good care of it! Your daughter worked really hard on finding it."

Daichi scratched the back of his neck with a shy smile, a faint red color rising to his cheeks as he held out the flower to her. "Our daughter," He started, putting emphasis on 'our', "Wanted me to give this to you. So, now it's yours."

{F/N} hid her face behind her hands and punched her husband's stomach. "You're still saying that? It's so embarrassing!"

Daichi sat down next to his wife and wrapped his arm around her, pulling her a little closer and unable to stop smiling at her embarrasment. "Of course I am. It's our thing, isn't it?"

{F/N} remained quiet, but the quietness was soon interrupted by {Daughter} running towards them and wanting to be picked up and hugged as well. {F/N} obeyed to the request and set her daughter down on her lap, a smile on her lips before she pressed them against the girl's cheek and listened to the giggle.

"Did you like the flower daddy gave you, mommy?"

{F/N} tapped the girl's nose and smiled, "I did, sweetheart! He's such a lucky man to have gotten help from my little princess."

Now it was Daichi's turn to sit back and enjoy his family being together. He always knew {F/N} would be a great mother, but seeing it unravel right before his eyes made the feeling even greater.

Not much later Daichi's brother called for Daichi, asking him if he could open the door since he was hands deep into a turkey. Daichi nodded, before pecking {Daughter} on her forehead and his wife on the lips, followed by him getting up to open the door for what he assumed were his parents. He greeted them and let them in, showing them into the garden and waiting to quietly observe his brother in the kitchen.

"You and {F/N} are gross," The brother then said, "And stop watching me while I cook. It makes me nervous."

Daichi simply shrugged, "I'll remember that when you find yourself a girlfriend and have children with her."

"Ew, that's exactly what she said. Get out. Go play with your kid or go kiss your wife or something."

"Is someone jealous that I'm married with a kid and he's single with his hands stuffed into a turkey?"

Daichi smirked before leaving the kitchen, knowing that another joke would end up with food in his hair and stains on his clothes.

He headed back into the garden and smiled when seeing his father play with {Daughter}, and smiled even wider when seeing how well {F/N} and his mother still got along. He really was lucky to have such a perfect family as this one, although his brother did like to throw a spanner in the works every now and again.

After all these years, he still loved {F/N} as much as he used to, if not more. He really wouldn't trade it for the world.

And after all these years, he still couldn't get tired of teasing her with their sentence. He was the first one to say it – the only one, actually – but he'd never let go of it.

He returned to {F/N} and fished around in his pocket, before handing her his pocket watch and smiling.

"Isn't this your lucky charm?" She asked, tilting her head slightly.

Daichi simply smiled. "And now it's yours."
