{F/N}'s eyes went dull as she poured her nth cup of coffee. She had never been such a caffeïne-addict, but she seemed to have developed a craving for it. So much so, that her colleagues had started to take notice of it.
"Uh... Are you getting another cup of coffee?" Yaku asked, pointing a finger at the mug {F/N} was in the midst of bringing to her lips. "Are you sure you're feeling okay?"
"I'm fine, Morisuke," she hissed in response, "stop getting on my case so much."
"You don't look fine, though. {F/N}, take a look at yourself right now." He put his own cup down, ceasing to lean against the counter and crossing the room to get his point across. "Your hands are shaking, you're missing deadlines left and right which is very uncommon for you and you've been unable to keep your attention with me for the past minute I've been talking to you."
"How I look and how I feel are two completely different things and I'd really appreciate it if you stopped worrying so damn much!"
"And you're constantly on edge. {F/N}, I'm just trying to help you. Everybody in the office has noticed that you're not feeling like yourself lately. Kuroo's been mentioning the bags under your eyes, Shibayama's been addressing his concern about your pale skin, Inuoka's continuously shooting you worried glances and Lev says you've yelled at him six times in the past three days. That's a lot more than usual, {F/N}."
{F/N} groaned as she eyed her empty cup, contemplating getting a refill if not for Yaku pulling the plug on the machine.
"I'm serious, {F/N}. This isn't healthy."
"I'm fine! God, maybe all of you should pay some extra attention to your assignments instead of constantly ogling me!" She balled her fists for emphasis, but Yaku didn't seem pressured.
"Whatever you say, {F/N}. Just don't forget that you have an important meeting about your new project in about an hour. Boss said she's looking forward to your approach." He went back to the counter and grabbed his cup, eyeing his officemate once more before taking his leave. If anything, there was one thing he found {F/N} and coffee had in common — both of them were bitter.

{F/N} hated to admit it, but she really wasn't fine.
She skipped lunch to work on her final slides in order to make sure she'd be able to put down an excellent presentation, but as the time was passing she couldn't help but feel nauseous. She blamed it on being hungry and feeling nervous — it made sense, since her boss seemed to have high expectations. Either way, {F/N}'s creative juices hadn't been flowing as much as she wanted them to.
She got up from her chair and told her officemate Yaku that she'd be right back, then dragged herself out of her office and into the hallway. She felt sick, tired, and most of all, anxious.
Yaku couldn't help but feel unsettled about her leaving on her own and heaved a sigh as he got up, saving his document and taking a quick sip of his coffee before following his coworker into the hallway. He had seen her pale before, but never this pale.
"{F/N}-"
With a hand covering her stomach, she leaned against the wall. "My stomach... R-Really hurts..."
