"No!" yowled Stargleam. She ran after Tigerstar, but he was to fast for her. Stargleam couldn't catch up, so she finally stopped. The purple warrior was so tired and sad, tears began to roll down her face. Her sister was dead, and Tigerstar escaped.

"Why am I so useless?" she asked herself. "Why couldn't I kill him?"

"It's not your fault," said a voice from beside. "What?! Who's there?" Stargleam exclaimed as she jumped in surprise.

"It's just me," said Jayfeather's spirit, looking down on her. "You couldn't kill him because you're not dead."

"What?" Stargleam meowed, confused. "What do you mean?"

"He's in the Dark Forest," replied Jayfeather. "He's already dead!"

Oh, no! What do I do? the purple she-cat thought.

"We can go to the Dark Forest," mewled Jayfeather hesitantly. "But it's very dangerous."

"Take me there!" Stargleam ordered without a second thought.

Stargleam immediately curled up and fell asleep, then woke up in the Dark Forest. It was a dark, muggy place. Here, there was no moon to light the forest, making it hard to see. But then, they heard voices! It was Tigerstar!

"Okay, then we'll kill her and invade ThunderClan," the evil tabby was saying.

"What?! No!" Stargleam shrieked as she emerged from the bushes. The she-cat leaped for Tigerstar, claws unsheathed.

Stargleam was about to hit him before she saw Darkstripe yell out, "Tigerstar, watch out!" Tigerstar faced her and raked his claws along her shoulder. It wasn't fair!

Stargleam fell to the ground, and dark blood was oozing from the wound on her shoulder. The blood was shiny on the Dark Forest grounds. Hawkfrost caught a glimpse of Stargleam. She was so beautiful and kawaii... He was thinking just like Firestar. Hawkfrost loved her, and now wanted to save her.

The tabby jumped at Tigerstar and sunk his teeth into the other's shoulder! But it was too late; Stargleam was already dying. Everything in the she-cat's vision was fading to black.

"I love you," she whispered before she went limp.

     And then, Stargleam was dead.
