I gazed out of the window sadly as the taxi gradually took me closer to the airport. I'd tried to call Daniel several more times but with no success, I hated not knowing where he was. Maybe something had happened to him too. What if he was..... I shook my head quickly, desperately trying to clear the thoughts. I couldn't even think about that....my heart would break in two if anything happened to him.

It wasn't fair....why did I have to love him so much? We weren't even together anymore so why did I have to feel this way?

My thoughts were interrupted as I glanced out of the window and saw that we had passed the turning for the airport. I glanced around nervously, trying not to panic.

"We've gone past the turning." I stated quietly.

The driver completely ignored me and remained silent. As I gazed at the back of his blonde hair, I had no idea what to do. The taxi slowed down as we reached a set of traffic lights, I quickly tried to open the door and cursed when I realised that it was locked. A few moments later the traffic lights turned green and we began to move again. As I gazed out of the window, feeling completely helpless, I couldn't help but notice that we appeared to be heading for the edge of the city. The taxi quickly swerved towards the harbour and I felt my heart pound against my chest as we slowly came to a stop. I couldn't help but wonder who this driver was and what he wanted from me? Was I in danger? The driver quickly climbed out and wandered around the harbour for a few moments, almost as if he was looking for something. My heart thumped as he walked towards me and slowly opened the door for me. As I glanced at him, I gasped, I would recognise those piercing blue eyes anywhere.

"Danny?" I whispered, almost afraid to hope.

He nodded slowly and quickly pulled off the blonde wig. I gasped and stood up, quickly throwing myself into his arms.

"Oh my god, I can't believe it's you." I whispered in his ear.

"I'm sorry I had to scare you like that, the FBI are after us." he told me, glancing around nervously after I let go of him.

"Where have you been?" I asked him, conscious of the fact that his hand was still on my waist as I stood beside him.

"We had to fake Jack's death." he told me.

"Fake it?" I frowned.

"Yeah, he's fine." he said quickly.

I froze in shock, not quite able to process that Jack was still alive.

"Why didn't you tell me what you guys were planning?" I asked.

"With the FBI being after us, it wasn't safe for you to know anything." he explained.

I nodded slowly and sighed to myself. Now that I was back in his presence, I felt an overwhelming sense of emotion. Being able to inhale his familiar scent was a rare comfort.

"I wish you'd told me." I whispered.

"I know, I'm sorry." he replied quietly. I trembled slightly as he gently stroked my hair with his other hand. Whenever he touched me, I became weak at the knees. The overwhelming love that I felt for him didn't seem like it would ever fade.

"I need to talk to you about something." he whispered into my hair as he rested his head against mine. I smiled slightly as I heard him sigh in contentment.

"What is it?" I asked.

"After the final show we have to dissappear, we'll be on the run for the rest of our lives and I want you to come with us." he stated.

I sighed and stared at the ground for a moment.

"Why did you have to do this, you've given up your life for the sake of getting into the eye." I sighed.

"Because I had nothing to lose, I was a street magician, living alone in a crappy flat, I had nothing else in my life apart from my magic, so I guess it became my life." he explained.

"I can't go on the run Danny." I whispered.

"Why not, you don't have a job or any commitments?" he pointed out.

"I have Caitlin and if I go with you I wouldn't be able to see her again." I said thoughtfully. He didn't seem to realise what he was asking of me. If I was to go on the run with him and the other horseman I would never be able to see my sister again. The FBI would likely be watching Caitlin as a way of tracing me and the horseman.

"I guess not." he said quietly.

My heart stopped for a moment as a realisation suddenly dawned on me.

"But if I stay, I'll never see you again will I?" I gasped.

He shook his head slowly, a sad expression on his handsome features. I gazed into his eyes as he stared at me sadly.

"Come with me." he whispered, his tone almost pleading.

"I can't say goodbye to you again." he whispered.

"I can't say goodbye to you either." I admitted.

"Then don't, come with me." he muttered.

I stared into his eyes and flinched slightly as I felt his lips gently touch mine, as he kissed me softly. The tender way that he kissed me and his hand still in place on my waist spoke volumes of just how much he wanted me to stay with him. I hadn't realised until now just how much he still cared about me, but suddenly it was becoming clear, and I just couldn't say no to him. He gazed into my eyes when I eventually pulled away from him.

"Please say yes." he asked nervously.

"I'll go with you." I whispered.
