"So how's Jack?" Joanne asked as soon as she let go of me, her eyes twinkling slightly as she said his name.

I laughed and rolled my eyes at her expression.

"I haven't spoken to him in a while either." I chuckled. Even though she was trying to be subtle, it was obvious that she was attracted to him and I couldn't really blame her, he was rather handsome.

"I was going to ask you for his number." she blushed.

I smiled slightly and looked away from her, not quite able to bring myself to pass his number onto her. Even though there was nothing going on between the two of us; I still hated the thought of him seeing someone else. We both turned around as we heard a knock at the door.

"I'll go." she smiled kindly.

I watched her as she disappeared into the hallway and I heard the sound of the front door being opened.

"What are you doing here?!" Joanne exclaimed, sounding slightly panicked.

I heard a voice respond, but I couldn't make out who it was or what they were saying. I frowned as I heard a commotion and gasped as I saw Violet and Graham walking into the kitchen, closely followed by Joanne who had a nervous expression on her face.

"What are you guys doing here?!" I exclaimed in shock.

"I want to know what's going on with my son!" she said angrily.

"How should I know, I'm not with him anymore, I haven't seen him for a few weeks." I answered.

"I thought the two of you were engaged." she stated accusingly.

"Well not anymore." I said shortly.

"So you just packed up and left him?" she asked.

I nodded slowly, swallowing the lump that was rising in my throat. When she said it like that, she made me sound like a total bitch. But I had my reasons and she didn't know the full story.

"Nice." she said sarcastically. Even though I knew that she was just concerned about her son, I couldn't help but feel slightly angry.

"Funny how you weren't so opinionated when he left me four years ago." I snapped.

She glared at me for a moment, clearly shocked by my outburst.

"Maybe you should watch this." she snapped back, quickly recovering herself. I watched as she roughly handed me her tablet. She watched me closely as she quickly pressed play on the video. I gasped as I saw Daniel, Henley and Merritt sitting on a sofa together, each of them looking sombre.

"Firstly we want to thank you all for being such a dedicated audience." Henley stated.

"But like all good things it must come to an end." Merritt piped up. Even as I sat listening to them talk, I couldn't seem to tear my eyes away from Daniel. His piercing blue eyes seemed to hold me in his gaze.

"We need to disappear...for good this time." Daniel said quietly.

"No Danny, don't dissappear." I whispered.

"So thank you for the magic and goodbye." Henley summed up.

I frowned to myself as Merritt leaned forward and quickly terminated the video.

"What the hell are they planning?" I whispered.

"That's what I came to ask you." she answered.

My eyes snapped to Graham as I felt him watching me closely. Since the moment that he'd first arrived, his gaze had barely faltered.

"Well I know just as much as you." I said shortly, refusing to acknowledge Graham and trying to ignore the goosebumps that were slowly rising on my arms.

"I want to know what they mean when they say dissappear,  I hope they are not planning something stupid." she said, rising out of her chair and beginning to pace.

"And also where is Jack?" Joanne piped up.

"The world still thinks that Jack is dead so he is probably keeping a low profile." I said quietly.

"So you do know what's going on?" Violet rounded on me.

"No, I've told you, I don't know what they are up too. I don't know why you think I've got all the answers!" I exclaimed, beginning to get angry.

"Because you're the one that eloped with them." she stated angrily as she quickly sat back down again.

My attention snapped back to Cameron as he stirred slowly and began to gurgle. I smiled as he gazed into my eyes and smiled happily.

"You and Daniel had a baby?" Violet asked me, focusing on Cameron for the first time, now that she had finally calmed down.

My eyes widened in panic as I glanced at Joanne, who was gazing at the floor, clearly unsure of what to say. I needed to think quickly, and come up with something to ensure that she believed that Cameron wasn't Daniel's child.

"No, he's not Danny's." I lied quickly. Even though I hated lying to her, especially about something so important, I knew that it was the right thing to do.

"You cheated on him?" Graham piped up, finally speaking for the first time.

I nodded slowly, not really trusting my voice and unable to bring myself to look at Graham.

"That's why I left, because he found out." I stated, gazing fondly at Cameron. I would do anything for my son, and being able to lie and take the blame for something that I didn't do, seemed like a small price to pay in order to keep him safe.

"I can't believe you would cheat on my son." Violet said quietly, watching me closely.

"Well these things happen." I muttered, desperately hoping that she would believe my story.

The three of them watched me closely as I gently picked Cameron off my lap and stood up, holding him tightly.

"And before you ask he is Jack's." I said quickly, knowing that I had to say something to ensure that they believed me.

"You cheated on him with his best friend." Violet hissed, slowly standing up and walking over to me.

I shrugged and quickly gazed at the floor, not quite able to bring myself to look her in the eye.

"You're a disgrace!" she shouted causing me to jump. I gasped as she quickly lashed out and slapped me hard across the cheek. My eyes misted up at the burning pain in my cheek. Cameron began to cry loudly, clearly picking up on the tension in the room.

"I think maybe we should leave." Joanne stated awkwardly.

"I'm just glad she's no longer around to hurt him." Violet hissed as she gathered her belongings and quickly left with Joanne and Graham.
