"I don't know why he won't settle today." I sighed as I stood up from the sofa as Cameron started crying once again. This wasn't like him, usually he settled well in the afternoon but today was different.

"He's probably picking up on you being stressed." Jack pointed out, watching me closely as I picked up Cameron and gently rocked him.

"Yeah maybe." I sighed, gently patting Cameron's back with one hand whilst I supported his bottom with the other. I sighed as he continued crying.

"I shouldn't be doing all of this alone." I added, my eyelids starting to feel heavy. I'd spent the last few weeks being a single mother and yet now that Daniel was back, I still had all of the responsibility on my shoulders. The exhaustion that I felt seemed never ending.

"That's why I'm here to help." Jack stated, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"I know, and I'm so grateful that you are." I smiled at him. Jack had been a rock for me the last few days, providing me with support and much needed help.

"I've been thinking about getting a tattoo." I said thoughtfully.

"What...why?" he frowned.

"I have scars on my stomach from the surgery and from when I was shot so I just thought I could get them covered up." I shrugged.

The two of us jumped as the front door crashed open, the force causing it to hit against the wall. I frowned as Daniel stormed across the room towards me, angrily brandishing an envelope.

"Put the baby down." he said menacingly. I frowned at him and quickly placed Cameron safely back in his crib.

"What has gotten into you?" I said quickly.

He glared at me and angrily flung the envelope at me. My hands shook as I slowly removed the letter. I'd never seen Daniel this angry before. My stomach dropped as I read the lab results and saw that it was inconclusive. My heart plummeted...that couldn't possibly be correct...Daniel was the father of my child, so why weren't the lab results confirming that?

"But...I don't understand." I whispered.

"Funny that, because neither do I." he said condescendingly.

"I think it's time that you tell the truth!" he added angrily.

"I've been telling you the truth the whole time....he is your son." I said quietly, still not quite recovered from the shock of what the lab had said. It didn't make any sense, Cameron couldn't possibly be Jack's, the dates didn't match...and plus he even looks like Daniel.

"Don't." Daniel warned me menacingly.

"I don't know what else you want me to say!" I cried desperately.

"You can admit that you cheated on me!" he exclaimed.

"I would never cheat on you." I protested.

"YOU FUCKING LIAR!" he yelled, causing me to flinch at his tone. Up until this point I'd known that he would never lay a finger on me, but right now I was afraid of him. He had a deep anger in his face that I'd never seen before.

"I love that little boy and you let me bond with him when he's not even mine, how could you?" he added sadly.

I opened my mouth to answer but no sound would come out. I was in too much shock to think clearly. Never in my wildest dreams had I imagined that the results would say what they did.

"And you have nothing to say." Daniel scoffed, his tone full of disbelief.

"She's already told you." Jack piped up.

"This is none of your business, stay out of it!" Daniel spat.

"There's obviously been a mix up at the lab, why don't you call them and ask them to test it again?" Jack suggested, completely ignoring Daniel.

"Maybe you'll tell me then, when did you sleep with my fiancée?" Daniel asked angrily. No matter how many times we told Daniel the truth he didn't seem to believe us. He was too angry to even hear us.

"Only the one time that you already know about, before the two of you got together." Jack said impatiently.

"Well explain this then!" Daniel shouted, as he flung the letter at Jack, causing it to slide along the table.

"I can't explain it." Jack stated.

Daniel scoffed and turned his back on Jack, his full gaze now focused on me. I couldn't help but squirm slightly. The hurt and anger on his face made me feel like a piece of dirt on his shoe.
"Besides if you love her like you claim, you should trust her." Jack stated.

I watched as Daniel's brow furrowed at Jack's words and a flash of anger flickered in his eyes. Faster than I could blink Daniel turned back to Jack and swung his fist towards him. I gasped as I heard a crack when Daniel's fist made contact with Jack's cheek.
