"It still looks the same." I stated, frowning at Daniel as I walked into the room.

"Go over to the bed." he smiled.

"Please tell me you've not put rose petals on the bed, you are not getting off that easy." I said.

"No, it's not that, just look." he said, smiling slightly.

I nodded and continued walking into the room, gasping as I gazed down at the bed and saw a wedding dress laying on it. It was a beautiful A-line dress with a sweetheart neckline and lace sleeves.

"It's beautiful." I breathed.

"I know, you'll look amazing in it." he agreed.

"It's the one that I wanted....how did you know?" I asked, turning to face him.

"Jack showed me the picture of the one that you liked." he told me.

I smiled slightly. First Jack had called the lab to clear up the mix up and now he'd made sure that I got my dream wedding dress. It seemed that even though he knew we couldn't be together, he loved me enough to make sure that I was happy, even if that meant him losing me to Daniel. He really would do anything for me. I couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt for the way that I'd treated Jack, even though I hadn't hurt him intentionally.

My eyes snapped back to Daniel as I saw him remove the chain from his neck and hold my engagement ring out to me.

"Marry me?" he asked.

My eyes flickered to the floor, not quite able to look him in the eye. He still didn't know that I couldn't have any more children and I knew how desperately he wanted a large family. It didn't seem fair to agree to marriage and deny him of that dream.

"Mia, please marry me?" he asked again.

"We need to talk first." I said quietly.

"Don't you like the dress?" he frowned.

"I love the dress, even though it's kinda bad luck that you've seen it." I said, smiling slightly.

"So what's the issue?" he asked.

"You've given up being in the eye for me, I can't let you give up anymore." I said quietly.

"I gave that up because of Cameron and I wouldn't change a thing." he said quickly.

"I know, but I can't let you give up anymore for me." I said quietly.

"What are you talking about?" he frowned.

"Danny....I..." I started.

He watched me closely as he silently perched on the bed. I quickly brushed my hair out of my eyes and took a deep breath.

"Did something happen with Jack whilst we were broken up?" he asked quietly.

"No..why do you always think that?!" I exclaimed angrily.

"Well what is it then?" he asked.

"Back when I had to go into hospital after Cameron was born and I had the surgery.." I started.

"Yeah I know, Henley told me." he interrupted me.

"She didn't tell you the details, because I made her promise not too." I said quickly.

"What details?" he frowned.

I sighed and quickly sat on the window seat, stretching out my legs as I gazed out of the window.

"Mia, you're scaring me now." he said quietly.

"I can't have any more children." I whispered, a wave of shame and guilt washing over me as I admitted it to him. I couldn't help but feel that I had let him down.

"What?" he whispered.

"The only way that they could stop the bleed was to give me a hysterectomy." I explained.

I turned to face him and saw that he was gazing at me silently, the colour completely drained from his face.

"I'm sorry." I whispered, turning back to gaze out of the window. I continued gazing out of the window as I heard him cross the room and sit next to me.

"Mia." he whispered, trying to get me to face him. Tears rolled down my cheeks that I was powerless to stop. Not only had I shattered his dreams for a large family, but I'd wanted more children too. Cameron would be denied a sibling and it was all my fault.

"Mia, it's okay." he whispered, gently placing his hand on my knee.

"No, it's not." I sighed, turning to face him.

"You need to go and be with someone who can give you the family that you want." I added sadly.

"I don't want a family with anyone else." he said quickly. He quickly placed his hand on top of mine and watched me closely.

"But I can't give you a family." I sighed.

"We already have a family, and I couldn't bear to be with anyone other than you." he whispered.

I smiled slightly at his words, I was so lucky to have someone like him in my life.

"I wish you'd told me though." he said gently.

"I was going to, but I needed a couple of days to get my head around it and then you went away and we split up." I told him.

"Yeah, I get it." he sighed. Even though Daniel was trying to be strong for me, I could see that he was disappointed and upset by what I'd told him.

"Don't pretend Danny, it's okay to be upset about it." I whispered.

"I'm fine." he insisted, quickly shaking his head.

"Danny..." I tried again.

"What do you want me to say?" he snapped, quickly wiping his eyes.

"Sorry." he quickly added.

He glanced at me as I sat forward and gently stroked his hair.

"No I'm sorry, this is my fault." I whispered  as I continued stroking his hair.

"It's not your fault." he insisted.

I sighed and gazed at Daniel sadly, desperately wishing that none of this had happened.

"Mia?" he said quietly.

"What?" I answered.

"Do you want me to get a vasectomy?" he offered.

"What...why?" I frowned.

"So that you don't feel like you're the only one that can't have children." he said gently.

My stomach dropped as I thought about what he was offering. He really would do anything for me.

"No, that would be a tragedy." I stated, quickly standing up and crossing the room.

"You might decide you want to start a family with someone else." I added.

"No, I won't." he insisted.

"Besides we already have a family, we'll just treasure him even more than before." he added, smiling slightly as he thought about Cameron.
I nodded slowly and quickly wiped the tears from my cheeks. Even though he was being so understanding that didn't stop the guilt that I was feeling.

"I still want to marry you." he stated, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Why?" I frowned.

He sighed and crossed the room, stopping when he stood in front of me. I gazed up at him and frowned when I felt him take my hand and gently place my engagement ring on it.

"Because the love we feel for each other is stronger than anything else, we can get through all of this other stuff together." he whispered, before gently leaning down and kissing me.
