"Let me check your wound." Daniel asked as he followed me out of the bathroom and watched as I put on his shirt, smiling slightly to myself. It always made me feel warm and fuzzy when I wore his shirts.

"Oh for god sake, it's fine." I chuckled slightly pleased that he cared so much about me.

I squealed as he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me towards him. He quickly turned me around and lifted the corner of my shirt. I watched him closely as he gently inspected the wound.

"See I told you it was fine." I smiled when he nodded in satisfaction.

"I needed to check." he pointed out.

"At least we now know that we don't have to wait until it's fully healed." I winked at him, linking my arms around his neck.

"Don't push it." he grinned mischievously.

I rolled my eyes at him and smiled.

"Your little bump is so cute." he grinned as he gently stroked my stomach.

We both jumped as we heard a commotion from downstairs. The sound of banging and people shouting.

"What the hell?" Daniel muttered.

He quickly pulled on his tracksuit bottoms and followed me as I slowly walked downstairs.

"Wait here." Daniel whispered to me as he paused on the bottom of the stairs.

"What for?" I whispered.

"You need to stay here so that you are safe." he pointed out.

"Oh for god sake Daniel." I said sternly.

"You're pregnant, I need to take care of you." he said quietly.

Merritt smiled at us as he walked into the hallway.

"What's going on?" Daniel asked Merritt.

"Jack and Henley went clubbing and they are a little bit worse for wear, hence the noise." Merritt chuckled.

"So after all that worrying, it was just Jack and Henley." I stated, grinning at Daniel.

He blushed slightly and watched as I walked into the kitchen.

"Do you want a drink?" I asked him and Merritt as I put the kettle on.

"I'll have a tea." Merritt stated.

"Same, I'll make them." Daniel told me.

"What do you want?" he quickly added.

"I'll have a hot chocolate." I answered.
Merritt grinned at me as I rolled my eyes at Daniel and climbed onto the kitchen side. Now on top of everything else he wouldn't even let me make the drinks. As much as I loved his protective side, I couldn't help but find it frustrating when he mothered me.

"You shouldn't be up there." Daniel said quickly when he saw me sitting on the counter.

"Danny stop." I laughed.

He shrugged and turned away from me, placing tea bags into the mugs. Merritt and I glanced around as a strange girl walked into the kitchen, I frowned to myself as she appeared to be wearing Jack's hoodie over the top of her rather short dress.

"Are you making tea?" she asked Daniel, placing a hand on his back as she peered over his shoulder. As she placed her hand on his bare back, I couldn't help but wish that he was wearing a shirt.

"Yeah." Daniel replied awkwardly.

"Would you mind making one for me?" she asked sweetly.

"Sure." Daniel said quietly.

"Excuse me, but who are you?" I asked her. She turned to face me and slowly looked me up and down.

"Frances." she smiled.

"I can't believe I'm in the presence of the four horseman!" she added excitedly as she looked between Daniel and Merritt.

Merritt smiled at her and glanced at me awkwardly.

"So Danny, could you show me a card trick?" she giggled.

My blood was boiling as she spoke to him. I was the only one that called him 'Danny' so how dare this strange girl encroach on my territory.

"I don't have my cards." Daniel replied. I watched him as he walked over to me and gently handed me my hot chocolate.

"Thanks baby." I whispered, trying to give this girl a hint that he was mine and she should back off. Daniel frowned at me for a moment before walking back over to the kettle to make the tea.

"I was in the crowd when you did that trick with the seven of diamonds on the side of the tower." she told him.

"That's great." he said quietly.

"Is it always the seven of diamonds?" she asked.

"I can do that trick fifty two different ways." he replied.

I smiled proudly at him. Even though I hated listening to this girl flirting with him, I couldn't help but feel a surge of pride. He was so talented and attractive that it was no wonder he got all of this attention.

"Can you do fifty two different tricks on me?" she giggled.

He sighed and slowly turned to face her.

"No." he stated.

"If you're a big fan like you say then you'll know that I'm engaged to Mia, so what are you playing at." he added, his tone full of disdain.

She stared at him for a moment, clearly shocked by his words.

"Jackie!" she cried, quickly composing herself as Jack walked into the room.

I watched in horror as she rushed over and threw herself into his arms. Daniel wandered over to me and stood between my legs.

"Is your drink okay?" he asked.

"Yeah, thanks." I smiled, finally able to tear my eyes away from where Jack was embracing Frances.

"What a tart." I muttered as I glanced back and saw that her and Jack were kissing.

"I think she liked you." I added, grinning at Daniel.

"I know, that's why I stood up to her." he told me.

He watched me as I leaned forward and whispered in his ear, so that only he heard me:

"I'm so hot for you right now."

He chuckled and gently placed his hands on my waist. My eyes wandered back to Jack again and saw that he was still making out with Frances. Something stirred in the pit of my stomach, and I longed to reach over and pull her away from him. But instead I gently climbed off the counter and took Daniel's hand, dragging him upstairs with me.
