"So were you guys having fun?"

YeongMi glared at Yoongi, who was smirking widely, looking as smug as he possibly could.

"Please, we weren't doing anything."

They would have been if the boys hadn't arrived.

"Oh, really? Damn, I should've waited just a little longer before I knocked." Yoongi laughed while Jin grabbed his shirt to shake him.

Namjoon licked his lips slightly, staring at YeongMi before clearing his throat and looking to Jin.

"So what's the big vacation plan?"

Jin let go of Yoongi, forgetting about punishing him as his face was overtaken in an excited grin, stretching his lips out, while still managing to keep them looking good.

Does he ever not look handsome?

"My parents own a house on the beach! So I can rent a car and we can drive down! It'll be like a road trip!"

He sounded so excited, YeongMi didn't want to blatantly reject his offer.

But she didn't know if she should go on vacation with them. Wouldn't that suggest a deeper friendship connection?

Then again, it would be nice to see Namjoon on the beach, bare chested and wet-

Yoongi bumped YeongMi's shoulder, and she jumped, staring at him in irritation.

"YeongMi, your face looks like you just got interrupted right before you could have sex. We did interrupt you guys, didn't we?"

YeongMi scowled at Yoongi; Hyjoon spoke before YeongMi could swear at him.

"What, you like to interrupt other people getting some nice ass just because you're lonely, with no one to fuck?"

"Well, if you're volunteering - "

"I'd prefer to date a cactus, thanks."

"Ah, you like it big? Well you're in luck - "

"I'm done with this."

"Oh, you're not done til I say - "

"Unless you guys are gonna go to Yoongi's room to fuck or kill each other, just shut the hell up."

Both of them turned to YeongMi, a glare ghosting their faces.

YeongMi just laughed, sitting next to Namjoon on the bed.

She tried to scowl as the boys took over her room, laying on her couch, eating her food, playing with the various plushies coating her nightstand, but she really didn't care that much.

"So, you can invite friends if you want, but we only have enough room for us in the truck, so if anyone else comes they'll need to meet us there."

Nobody was really listening to Jin, but that didn't stop him; he gleefully continued rattling off everything he could about the trip.

"We'll leave right after class-"

Jin got attention from that, and the entire room was silent, save for Taehyung who was laughing as he made Jungkook dance.

"Right after class? That's a little early, I mean, I have to say goodbye to Jessica - "

"You've never talked to Jessica in your life Hoseok."

"Yeah, but if Jin kills us with his driving then I'd like to do it at least once."

Jin's face contorted into offended disgust. "Hey, my driving is good! At least I have my license!"

"Yeah, but you really shouldn't - " Jimin held his hands up in defeat as Jin turned the face of rage onto him.

YeongMi watched as they argued, almost like they weren't even friends. But she knew, they were the closest friends, that's why they could argue like this. It was like a family.

She felt a little left out. She'd never really had anyone want to be be a friend to her, not like that.

Only for her money, her status. She'd had people lined up outside her door, begging to be friends, only when they knew about her family. They never really wanted her, only the title that she lived.

But these boys had money themselves; they were in Daewon after all. And they didn't know who her parents were, so they weren't friends with her for that.

They genuinely wanted to be friends with her, just because they liked her? It didn't make sense, but YeongMi was grateful.

For all the fronts of arrogance and a factor of self-importance, YeongMi was always desperate to be genuinely liked. She had given up on it previously, and pushed everyone away, but now that she'd come to this school, she felt differently.

She wanted them to like her. She wanted to make them smile at her. She wanted them to want to be her friend, because they thought she was a cool person, for no selfish reasons, no benefit attached, simply a genuine feeling of amiable friendship.

Namjoon lightly laid his hand on her knee as Jin continued describing the trip, in extensive detail.

YeongMi smiled, leaning her head on his shoulder tiredly.

Yes, they really just liked her.
