Seungkwan let out a painful sigh, staring down at the phone that was vibrating in his hand.

He really wasn't in the mood for this, it was exhausting.

He took one last moment to collect himself, before painting a smile on his face, answering with a chirpy voice.

"My dear Seungkwan, my greatest gift, how are you doing? Did the radio interview go well?"

"Hello, mother, father. It went really well, did you listen?"

"...."

Seungkwan's heart dropped in disappointment. "I'm sorry, I know you're busy, I shouldn't have asked such a silly thing."

"We know you did us proud, you always do."

"Thank you, father." Seungkwan faltered, but his parents didn't notice.

"So, have you heard from your sister recently?"

Of course that's what they really wanted to talk about. That's all it ever was lately.
"Yeah, this morning she told me she was doing well." Not exactly her words, but they would have to do.

"She's never doing well, we know that. It's always trouble with her."

Seungkwan sighed; he was getting damn tired of being stuck between his sister and their parents. He was tired of being the middle man.

"You would tell us if she was causing trouble, wouldn't you sweetheart?"

At this point? He didn't know. "She wouldn't tell me if she was. She knows you guys talk to me."

"How does she know?!"

"She's smart, you know," Seungkwan finished off in a mumble so they couldn't hear, "as much as you deny it."

"Not smart enough to know that we want what's best for her."

Seungkwan nearly snorted. What a lie that was. "She doesn't see it that way."

"You must tell her, before she ruins everything to the point that we disown her."

"She won't listen to me! I nearly lost her once because of you, I'm not playing your little games anymore."

"Seungkwan! What are you saying?"

"You heard me! I'm tired of this, stop dragging me into it. Honestly, you're actually disgusting."

"Seungkwan! If I didn't know any better, I'd say you're acting just like your brat sister."

"She's your daughter, for god's sake! As much as you hate it, she is."

"Your sister is rubbing off on you."

"Your daughter! That's your daughter, how can you talk about her like that? How can you not feel bad for the way you treat her?"

"She acts far worse - "

"She's just a kid! You're her parents, god, you're supposed to act like it!"

"We tried."

"Not hard enough! You gave up on her, and you left her alone to figure things out with no help!"

"She wanted to leave!"

"She was 12! You don't let a 12 year old make a decision like that! You were supposed to hug her and tell her you're sorry, tell her you'll take care of everything for her, that's what you're supposed to do. A 12 year old shouldn't be more mature than you! But she was!"

"...."

"She asked you, she told you, she begged you to stop filming so much. She wanted her parents, not celebrities. You were supposed balance it, you promised me you'd take care of her when I left! She was scared."

"We did take care of her!"

"No, you didn't. You never did. She practically said anyone else was her mom to anyone who asked. Doesn't that hurt you?"

"...."

"The fact that it doesn't.... how can you consider yourselves as parents?"

"Now that's quite enough!"

"No, I'm not done yet. I didn't even know she had left home until she called me after a month at the first school. You never told me! I never knew."

"...."

"Aren't you ashamed? She was all alone, she had no friends, she had no one! I'm ashamed, how are you not?"

"Son-"

"I wish I wasn't."
