YeongMi retreated to her room as soon as classes ended. She got into her nicest lingerie, spending time admiring herself in the mirror to try and build her confidence.
She was hot. If Namjoon chose Bora he'd be missing out. One night wasn't enough for her to share every part of her with him.
It didn't help much, so YeongMi resorted to changing into her fluffiest pajamas, preparing to drown herself in ramyeon and ice cream while watching the saddest drama she could find.
It was time to mope.
Instead, of course, as soon as she settled down with all the food she could find in her room, there was a hesitant, soft knock on the door.
Goddamnit, who could it be and why did they have to interrupt her pity night?
She debated whether or not to ignore it and pretend she was asleep, but they continued knocking, each time getting softer and softer, and she started to feel bad for them.
Stupid, she wasn't supposed to care. She was getting soft.
She answered the door slowly, groaning as she noticed Jungkook shuffling there awkwardly.
She rolled her eyes, but she opened the door wider and grabbed his arm to pull him inside.
He smiled lightly to her, and she was reminded of Hyjoon's nickname for the boy.
"Hey bunny boy...."
There was a lump in her throat, and this was possibly one of the most uncomfortable moments that she'd had in a while.
She sat back down on the couch, automatically making Jungkook a bowl of ramyeon before she realized what she was doing.
Damnit, now he would think she would let him stay.
Shit, she would.
"I'm sorry about yelling at you earlier."
She couldn't recall the last time she had apologized.
Jungkook smiled wider this time, laughing lightly.
"It's okay, we all should have noticed that you didn't want to talk about it. You're kind of like Yoongi, you don't really do sentimental things, and no talking about feelings or anything. We can respect that."
YeongMi wondered if they had sent Jungkook to apologize for all of them; it was a genius plan - she couldn't be mad at little bunbun Jungkook, he was just too damn sweet.
She nodded anyways, hiding a smile behind her bowl as Jungkook began, uninvitedly, searching the channels before deciding on a music channel.
Maybe he was getting comfortable with her around; she smiled at the thought.
"Say, Jungkook, what do you think of Bora? Everyone seems to like her a lot. I just feel, kind of left out I guess."
She hated that she had spoken that last bit; like Jungkook had said, she didn't do talking about feelings, it wasn't like her.
Jungkook kept his eyes peeled to the screen, graciously taking his own bowl and beginning to eat.
"Bora treats me like a child. She thinks she's defending me, but really it's just annoying. Doesn't she know they are only teasing me because it's their way of showing affection?"
YeongMi nodded in agreement.
She wouldn't admit it, but she absolutely loved the fact that Jungkook wasn't absolutely enamored by Bora, as everyone else seemed to be.
"Like you! You tease me too, but I know it's just cause you like me, and I don't really mind."
"You get so embarrassed though," YeongMi grinned, rustling his hair gently.
"Yeah, but I do like it too. It's nice to have an girl friend like you. I feel like you'd do anything to take care of me. You'd probably beat anyone who so much as looked at me the wrong way. Not that I need it, of course, I'm a manly man, but it's still pretty nice."
This was true. Shit, she cared. It was too late, she had been drawn in and locked down by this stinking bunny boy and his charming laugh.
"Yeah, you better believe it, bunbun."
Jungkook grinned at her, and she found herself smiling back, before comfortably leaning back and watching the TV.
"Ah, ah! This dance, oh man."
And Jungkook nearly dropped the ramyeon, as he stood up and moved away from the table, before perfectly dancing along to the song.
"Jesus, Jungkook you're a dancer. I mean, you're a really good dancer."
Jungkook blushed and shook his head, clearly embarrassed but pleased at the praise.
The moment was interrupted by the sound of a knock.
YeongMi was relieved to hear that it was coming from the balcony door; that could only be one person.
"Hyjoon!" Jungkook stood up immediately, grinning at his friend while she burst through the door.
"Okay bitches, let's get down to business." She took her shoes off and dropped her backpack on the balcony before shoving her finger in YeongMi's face, or rather, as close to it as she could manage.
"First off, you need to stop being a little bitch and start doing something about Bora. We'll help."
Hyjoon motioned between Jungkook and herself, smirking confidently. Jungkook looked rather alarmed, staring at the two girls uncertainly.
"Ah, I don't know, I don't want to get in trouble, or hurt anyone-"
YeongMi grabbed his chin lightly shaking it, grinning. "Leave the trouble to us, just keep this a secret, okay?"
He nodded uncertainly and Hyjoon promptly dragged them over to the couch.
YeongMi found that the evening was made much nicer by the two younger students keeping her company.
