YeongMi learned that climbing up the building was much easier than climbing down, even without Hyjoon to help her up - she had offered, but YeongMi waved her off, secretly not wanting the younger girl to lose too much sleep, but blaming it on arrogance.

YeongMi had trouble sleeping.

She could feel the boy's slipping through her fingers. She could feel Bora reeling them all in. And what would YeongMi do?

She spent the 2 hours of sleep that she had, trying to find a solution.

Okay, so she was sulking.

It wasn't until she was getting ready for class that she gave herself a much needed pep talk.

She was YeongMi! She didn't take shit from anyone, especially not Bora. She was a rebellious, no good punk, she was a careless, reckless, adventurous person. Some pretty girl with a good upbringing couldn't possibly stop her in her intentions. That's all Bora was, after all.

She realized just who Bora reminded her of.

Her mother.

Perfect, entrancingly beautiful, sickeningly sweet.

No one was that nice.

Even Jimin had a fiendish side, and her mother definitely wasn't as nice as she acted. So YeongMi was convinced that Bora wasn't either.

But did the boys already know it? Was she just so desperate for Bora to leave that she was making up bad things that weren't already there?

Was her bad feeling about Bora just from her jealousy, or was it substantial?

Either way, YeongMi wasn't going to sit back and take it. No, if Bora was going to weasel her way back to the boys, then YeongMi would just have to stick around and see just who Bora really was.

Bora definitely couldn't replace YeongMi; Bora was all pretty and sweetness, reserved words and pristine manners where YeongMi was sexy and daring, rude and fun.

If YeongMi had to share the boys, she would.

She wouldn't have to. She'd make sure. She knew something weird was going on, even if it was jealousy driving the suspicion.

Nobody was innocent, after all.

All throughout the day, the only thing that YeongMi thought of was Bora and all the possible reasons she had left, and, more importantly, why she had come back.

When she got to lunch, she saw Bora sitting in her spot with the boys, and she had almost turned around to walk out, too tired and annoyed to deal with Bora in person - just the thought of her was enough to send YeongMi into a fit of irritation.

Unfortunately, Jimin had spotted her, and waved her over excitedly.

Rolling her eyes enough times to make up for having to pretend she was fine with Bora, she reluctantly made her way over to them.

The only spot left was beside Jungkook at the end, as Bora had taken her usual seat between Namjoon and Hoseok.

She squeezed next to the boy, struggling to make room for herself, and then she grinned at the flustered Jungkook, rubbing her hands in his hair affectionately.

He blushed immensely, but said nothing.

Bora caught her eyes, and she leaned over across the table, staring at YeongMi.

"Hey, leave him be won't you, he's kind of shy of girls."

YeongMi knew that, just cause she'd been gone a week didn't mean she didn't know these boys well enough.

She was offended, and she was biting back a snarl, but Jungkook spoke up for her. "No, it's okay. It's kind of our thing."

And YeongMi grinned, putting her arm around Jungkook for a moment before retreating, not teasing him too much.

"Yeah, it's our thing." She smiled in faux sweetness, while Bora just frowned and looked away.

"Aww, my little Jungkookie!" YeongMi patted his cheek gratefully, before letting him turn back to Taehyung, who immediately clutched his chin and pulled at the skin, cooing like he was making fun of YeongMi.

He probably just wanted to touch Jungkook, so YeongMi let it slide.

Hoseok was directly across from YeongMi, and he quickly caught her attention.

"Hey, want to come down to Namjoon's room tonight, we're having a party, and you know it's not the same without you!"

YeongMi grinned; they didn't seem to be forgetting her just yet.

Her smile faltered, "I'm swamped with so much make up work from last week...." Hoseok's face fell, "so naturally, fuck yeah."

Namjoon turned to her, and she tried really hard to be bitter about his behaviour last night, but his dimples were so damn charming. She couldn't look away, and she couldn't even frown at him.

Damnit.

"I can help you with the make up work, if you wanted - "

"Oh baby, surely you don't want her copying off you, that's cheating."

YeongMi glared at Bora butting in.

"I don't cheat," Bora gave her a judgemental look, and she had to try really hard to resist kicking her from under the table. "And you obviously don't know Namjoon very well if you think that he just let's people copy off him. He explains the problems and helps people understand, not just mindless copying."

"I know him better than you - "

"Goddamn, is every girl in this school going to fight over Namjoon, because really, there are other guys. Like me, for instance-" Bora and YeongMi glared at Yoongi, who just rolled his eyes and turned back to Jimin.

After that, the air was heavy, and neither girl spoke.

It was awkward, to say the least, and YeongMi quickly retreated, using the excuse of make up tests to get away early.

She went through the rest of the day stiffly, and when dinner came around, she stayed in class to do some of her work, thus avoiding another awkward meeting with the boys and Bora.

But once school was over, she retreated to her room.

She took great care choosing her outfit; it was far from the uniform.

She wanted to impress, and, she denied it, but she was intimidated by Bora's easy beauty.

On the way out, she grabbed her school bag, just in case Namjoon would make good on his offer to help her.

She didn't really care about the school work, it was just a good excuse.

Why did she need an excuse to spend time with him? Surely Bora didn't have a leash on the boy, surely she didn't control him so much, take up so much of him?

And yet, she seemed like exactly the kind of girl who would.
