YeongMi had just wanted a peaceful, solitary walk around the gardens. She hadn't meant to run into Namjoon and the others, and she definitely hadn't meant to run into Bora. It wasn't her fault, as much as Bora cursed her for it.

She had immediately turned to leave, her chest getting tight at the sickening sight. Bora made everything bitter to the eyes.

She waited until she was out of sight before sitting down on a bench, leaning her head in her hands, her shallow breathing indicative of distress. She tried to force the previous sight from her mind; she was unsuccessful.

She closed her eyes, forcing herself to only listen to her breaths, and the beat of her miserable heart, ignoring everything else.

This made it easy for Bora to approach her unnoticed, and soon she was sitting next to YeongMi, glaring imaginary holes into her skull.

"Why don't you just give up already?"

YeongMi sighed, just barely raising her head to give Bora an uninterested look. Couldn't Bora tell that she already had given up? Bora won, and now YeongMi just wanted to be left alone in pitiful solitude.

"What do you want Bora? I'm not doing anything to you, just leave me be." YeongMi was too exhausted to fight. She hadn't the energy for harsh words and biting insults.

"You're the one that ruined everything by following us around like a pathetic little bitch."

YeongMi sighed in exhaustion, paying no mind to the younger girl, who was furious at her dismissive attitude.

"Look at me when I'm talking to you!"

YeongMi craned an eyebrow, shifting her eyes to glance at Bora. Bora was stepping on thin ice, speaking so rudely. "Everyone else pays attention to you, surely little old me doesn't matter to you."

"You don't matter to anyone!" If Bora knew that YeongMi spent almost every waking moment telling herself the same exact thing, perhaps she wouldn't have expected a response. But she didn't, so she had, and she was annoyed when she didn't receive one. "Why are you ignoring me?!"

"Because this conversation is about as stimulating as me imagining you naked. It just makes me want to become a nun and take a vow of silent celibacy."

Bora clenched her fists in rage. "You're just a bitch who thinks you can get everything you want. You think you're better than everyone? Than me? Well, you're not. You're nothing. You can't get everything you want, because guess what, Namjoon's mine! These boys are mine!"

"They don't belong to anyone, but I've already let you have them, so just go away."

"You rich snob, you didn't give them to me, they were always mine!"

YeongMi rolled her eyes, "this is an elite boarding school Bora, we're all rich snobs here, so shut up."

Namjoon joined the girls, looking between them in concern. He didn't see any blood yet, and he was hoping that it would stay that way. "What's going on?" He looked at Bora as he said this, because he was afraid that if he looked at YeongMi, he wouldn't be able to speak.

"She called me a rich snob!" Bora pursed her lips into an innocent pout, acting like a devious, manipulative child, pointing an accusing finger at YeongMi.

But YeongMi's didn't notice. Her eyes were on Namjoon, seeing that he didn't even care to ask her side. He only glanced at her with a look of resignation, and her heart twitched in her chest before she forced the concrete walls to close up around it.

Namjoon sighed, thinking back to all the pranks YeongMi had pulled on Bora, who wasn't deserving of the harsh treatment, in his idiotic eyes. "You're a spoiled brat, acting like a little kid. You know that?" He didn't mean it, why was he saying that?! It was like he repressed his feelings and couldn't control the words from leaving his mouth, I love you turning into I hate you somewhere along the way. He thought he was frustrated with YeongMi, but really it was him.

"Fuck you, Namjoon." YeongMi got up to leave, but Namjoon wasn't done.

"You already did."

While Bora was shocked at this statement, her mouth wide open like a fountain statue, Namjoon was feeling immense regret as pain and betrayal washed over YeongMi. She faltered, grateful that her back was facing them so they didn't see her eyes water.

'See, this is why you don't trust people, YeongMi. They only use you and hurt you. You're better off alone.'

YeongMi walked away, appearing calm until she reached the corner. Then, she took off in a run, refusing to stop until she reached her room, carelessly pushing through students and teachers to reach the safety of her solitude.

With her walls faltering around her heart, she slammed the door and sniffled once before picking up her phone.

She called the number she hated the most, putting it to her ear in despair as she waited for the answer.

She didn't even give them a chance to say hello.

"Mom, dad, you have to send me to another school."
