Chapter 7

~Today~

Lila

- I want everything to be perfect. Make sure for that cause I don't accept any complaints.
Cody said leaving me with Meghan.
She was referring to Julian's engagement of course. I rolled my eyes. I wanted everything to suck so not to get engaged. No, I didn't really want that. I wanted him to be happy. After everything we've been through......I still remember. And deep inside I feel guilty. And I feel guilty cause I'm the one and only to put the blame on for our relationship.
That simply meant that I had to work more again. This whole thing sucked.
I spotted Vanessa changing dresses again and again and showing them to Julian's manager. They both laughed, being excited of course. I rolled my eyes. I'm pretty sure that she doesn't even know how lucky she is.
Vanessa saw me staring at them and whispered something at Julian's manager who nodded and looked at me. I hope I wouldn't have problems with my job because of them. Cody was really strict.
Although my job is being at the reception I had to give instructions to the decorators according to what Cody told me.
After a while Julian came inside the hotel. Because a lot of people was seeing TV at the lobby I knew that Wolfsburg lost 5-0.
Vanessa saw him and hugged him immediately.
- Congratulations.
She said and I raised an eyebrow. Apparently she had no idea what happened.
- For what ?
Julian asked her and Vanessa blushed. She must have understood what happened.
- Sorry baby, I thought you....
She stopped looking down embarrassed.
I couldn't hide a laugh and unfortunately Vanessa saw me. She looked angrily at me and it was then I realized I had fucked up.
I looked away immediately but I could feel her staring at me.
- Lila hurry up with the work.
Cody told me while passing by.
- Yes, ma'am.

About nine -when the ceremony was about to start and I had become a waitress so that everything would be fine- and while I was checking last things hoping them to be awful but unfortunately they had nothing to do with that. Everything was as in fairytales.
- I think we did great.
Meghan commented looking around.
- So do I.
I said smiling.
- I'm sorry. My name's Kim Langham. Can I talk to you for a second mrs. Johnson ?
The woman asked me and I recognized her. She was Julian's manager.
- Sure.
I said looking surprised at Meghan who raised an eyebrow.
- How can I help you ma'am ?
I asked smiling politely.
- I had some complaints about you from my client.
She said raising an eyebrow.
- From Julian ? I....I mean mr. Draxler ?
- Yes, from mr. Draxler. I don't want my clients to be dissappointed.
- I'm really sorry but I followed mrs. Brown's instructions for the decoration.
- I'm not referring to the decoration sweetie.
She said smiling sarcastically.
- Then I don't understand.
I said looking at her confused.
- My client said that you were rude during your service and that you tried to flirt with him something that bothered him.

- No need for explanations. I would suggest not to be too friendly with him again otherwise I'm going to tell everything to mrs. Brown your headmistress. And believe me I'll do whatever in order to lose your job.
She said and I looked down. I felt my eyes filling with tears. I was never rude with Julian and I never tried to flirt with him. Why was he lying like that ? What was he trying to accomplish ?
- I'll promise it won't happen again.
I said and I turned to leave.
- Wait...
Kim said grabbing violently my arm.
- Yes.....
I said as politely as I could.
- We aren't over yet.
- Yes, ma'am...
- Do you work tonight ?
- Yes, mrs. Brown asked me to....
- Take these.
She said giving me some money.
- I can't....
- Take them and make sure you won't be here tonight otherwise I'm going to tell your headmistress what happened.
- What should you tell me mrs. Langham ?
Cody asked coming toward us. I paled and I felt like vomiting immediately.
- I'm sorry for not informing you mrs. Brown but I think that mrs. Johnson shouldn't work tonight.
Kim explained still holding the money.
- And what for ?
Cody asked looking at me.
Kim looked at me and because she couldn't find anything else to say she said the truth. Or what she thought it was the truth.
- My client complained about mrs. Johnson's behaviour.
I looked down. Fuck....

Cody asked looking at me.
- Julian Draxler.
Kim said without losing her temper.
Cody looked at me. I couldn't say anything.
- I'll do whatever is needed.
Cody said looking at me.
I wish I wouldn't be fired because of that.
- I would really appreciate it if mrs. Johnson wouldn't be here tonight.
Kim said calmly.
- I'm sorry mrs. Langham but mrs. Johnson belongs to my stuff and I would say if she should stay or not.
Cody said and I think that she was mad now.
- Then I'm afraid I have to make some bad comments about your hotel.
Kim said looking at both of us.
I know that Cody felt bad now. Nothing was more important than the hotel for her.
- Okay.
Cody said nodding.
- Thanks.
Kim said leaving with a smile.
- Mrs. Brown I really....
- Shut up Lila. No need of explanations.
- I haven't done anything inappropriate I swear.
- I know it Lila.
- You do ?
- If you had why should she pay you to leave ?

- I don't know what's her problem but I can't let her make bad reviews to my hotel.
I nodded.
- I'll be more careful during the ceremony I promise.
- No, Lila. You better leave. Please. I'll pay you poperly but you better not be here. When is your next shift ?

I said while I felt tears filling my eyes. I walked to a room changing from hotel's uniform and taking my things. Why the fuck had Julian say that I was rude and I tried to flirt with him ? It didn't even make sense.
My phone rang it was Thomas.
- Hello ?
- What time should I pick you up ?
He said cheerfully.
- Now, if you can please.
I responded smiling.
- You can't wait Lila.
He said laughing.
- No, I can't. Make sure you won't be late.
- Yes, ma'am.
He said laughing. I hanged up.
I walked to the lobby and I sat in a couch waiting for Thomas to come. Meghan came looking confused at me.
- You're leaving ?
- Yes.
I said as calmly as possible.
- Why ?
- I misbehaved.
I said and I burst out laughing. It was ridiculous.
- Seriously now Lila.
She said looking at me.
- I am serious. I misbehaved.
- You aren't fired. Are you ?
- No.
I said raising an eyebrow.
- Fortunately. But I'll be alone tonight.
- You'll be fine.
I said hugging her.
- I can't work overtime and alone.
She complained.
- It's only for tonight. You'll be perfect. Don't let anyone down.
- I'll try.
She said smiling.
With the edge of my eye I saw Julian coming. He stopped when he saw me.
- Hi girls.
He said.
Meghan looked in amazement at him but I ignored him. No, mr. Draxler I won't be fucked because you wanted it to.
- Can I offer you anything sir ?
Meghan asked.
- Can you bring me a glass of water ?
He said but I think he did it only for Meghan to leave us alone.
- Sure, sir.
Meghan said leaving.
- You're leaving ?
He asked looking at me.
- Yes.
- Why ? I thought that you worked tonight.
- I don't feel very well and my headmistress said that I should take the day of.
- Are you sick ?
He asked taking my hand in his.
I looked at his hand holding mine. Why was he acting like that ?
- I'm fine.
I said and I free my hand.
- Here's your water mr. Draxler. Lila, Thomas came you didn't say that you had a date.
Meghan said winking at me.
Julian looked at me.
- Do you have a date ?
- Julian here you are.
Vanessa said coming from nowhere and I took this chance to leave. I walked out of the hotel heading to Thomas car.
He opened the door for me after hugging me.
- Thank you.
I said getting inside the car.
I looked out the window as we left. Julian was staring at us.
