Chapter 10

~Today~

Julian

- I suppose this is good night.
I said but I didn't want to let her go. She nodded. Now I knew where she lived. Not that this changed anything but I wanted to learn more things about her.
- I'll see you tomorrow.
She said but she didn't move.
- Yes, see you tomorrow.
I said without looking at her.
- What are you going to do now ?
She asked and I smiled. She tried to elongate the time we had together.
- I know what you're doing.
I responded smirking.
- I don't know what you're talking about.
She responded but her voice was shaking.
- Did you miss me Lila ?
I asked holding her hand.
She looked at me.
- Yes.
She responded and I could kiss her right now.
- I'm pretty sure I've missed you way more.
I said and I kissed her hand.
- Vanessa will worry about you.
She said looking at our hands.
- Yes, I know.
I said looking away. She destroyed the moment between us talking about Vanessa.
- I should leave.
She said and she opened the door.
- No, kiss for good bye ?
I asked smirking.
She looked at me hesitating. She was thinking about it.
- Of course.
She finally said kissing my cheek and before her moving I placed a kiss in her neck.
- Good night Lila.
- Good night.
She said leaving before regreting it.
I watched her walking into her house and when I made sure she was in I left.

I arrived at the hotel way late. Meghan was at the reception. She smiled when she saw me.
- Hello mr. Draxler.
- Hi, Meghan why do you work tonight ?
- My shift was tonight.
I nodded.
- Has Vanessa came ?
- Vanessa.....ah yes, she's here.
She said and I thought of what I would say to her to explain where was I tonight.
- Okay thank you.
I said leaving her. Time to face Vanessa now. I slowly opened the door and I saw her in the bed crying. I was pretty sure that this was my fault and that she found a way of learning that I had dinner with Lila and now she was crying.
- Vanessa....
I said touching her shoulder.
- Julian you came.
She said crying.
- I'm sorry.
I said hugging her.
- You learned what happened ?
She asked still crying and surprised.
So, she wasn't crying about my dinner with Lila.
- It'll be okay.
I said not really knowing what I was referring at.
- I can't believe how irresponsible they are.
She said continuing crying.
- It's okay Vanessa.
- No, it's not. They were supposed to be ready for the film tonight so that we could finish earlier but no they had no fucking idea. Some actors are really stupid.
She commented. Apparently her actors weren't ready to portray their roles in her film and she got really annoyed like everytime someone does something like that.
- And what are you going to do now ?
- I have to stay a lot more here.
- It's good. We can elongate our staying here.
- No, way Julian. I'm going to stay. You can go back when we were supposed to.
- But I want to support you in that and not leave you alone.
And I also want to spend as more time as possible here with Lila.
I thought to myself. Then I thought that what was I thinking wasn't fair for Vanessa. I had to tell her the truth in everything if I wanted our relation to succeed. But I don't know if that's what I want anymore. It's Lila that complicates everything and I know that accussing Lila isn't fair cause I'm not sure that she feels the way I do but I really wish she did.
- Thanks for everything Julian. You are always so supportive and so good and I'm so fucking jealous. You'll find it ridiculous but I almost thought that you liked this receptionist which was crazy. I mean what should you do with a girl like that ?
Vanessa asked and I nodded although I'm not sure that the look on my face persuaded her cause she thought something and then she asked me:
- Where were you ?
- Dinner with the guys.
I lied because I have thought previously of my answer.
- Haven't they left ?
She asked confused.
- Tomorrow.
I lied again.
Vanessa smiled at me.
- I love you so much Julian.
She said kissing me.
I managed to smile.
- I love you too.
I replied.

I woke up the next morning knowing I had to discuss some things with Kim. I can't believe she got Lila into trouble.
I didn't search for her much since she was at the lobby.
- Good morning Julian.
She said smiling brightly.
- Good morning Kim. Glad I meet you here. We need to talk.
Kim looked at me confused.
- About what ?
- About you.
- Excuse me ?
- I'll be clear with you.
I said and she looked at me worried.
- What Julian ?
- Next time you'll got Lila into trouble I'll fire you.
- Who's Lila ?
She asked and I rolled my eyes.
- Lila is one of the receptionists. The black haired one specifically.
- Don't believe what she says Julian. She's lying.
- I trust her but I don't trust you. Make a mistake again and you're fired.
- Julian wait you got it all wrong. Besides she accepted the money.
- Which money ?
- I payed her to leave. Didn't she tell you that ?
- She did.
I admitted remembering our conversation.
- She took the money and she never denied what I said. Why would she if I was lying ?
I thought of it a little. The truth is Lila never said that she denied anything.
- I don't care what she did.
I lied.
- So ?
- So make sure you won't lie again cause I swear I won't even think that you're Vanessa's friend.
- I'm sorry Julian. It won't happen again.
- It better don't.
I said leaving. Lila was at the reception. She smiled at me when she saw me.
- Good morning.
She said.
- Good morning.
I replied.
- Julian I want to thank you about yesterday's dinner. I had a great time.
She said blushing.
- I'm glad to hear it.
I replied.
Lila looked down.
- Did you have any problems with Vanessa ?
- No. Don't worry about Vanessa.
I said smiling.
- Good cause I was thinking of it.
She said and I bet she was speaking the truth.
- What time do you finish work today ?
She looked at me surprised.
- Same as yesterday. Ten.
She responded.
- I can drive you home. Because you know.....your house is away from here.
Her house was away from here but this wasn't the real reason of my suggestion.
- There's no need to Julian.
- Okay then I'll pick you up when you finish.
I insisted in an attempt to spend as much time with her as possible.
- I don't want you to have problems with Vanessa.
She whispered looking down.
- I won't. Don't worry.
I said touching her hand. She blushed and I guess I felt good. Blushing means she maybe has feelings for me.

Fortunately for me Vanessa was busy with this movie so she wasn't there at ten. The bad thing was that I didn't know where was Kim. I always had the feeling that she was spying on me.
Lila was ready to leave when I arrived at the lobby. She looked at me worried.
- Hi.
I said trying to be calm.
- Hi.
She responded blushing again.
- Are you ready ?
- Yes, I thought you weren't serious when you said that you would drive me home.
- But I was.
I responded rolling my eyes.
She followed me to my car and I drove her to her house silently. She was avoiding to look at me.
When we arrived she thanked me and said that she had to go since Meghan would wait for her.
- Why ?
I asked being curious.
- We have a girls' night out.
She said still not looking at me.
- Good. Have fun.
- Thanks you too.
She responded.
- Lila....I talked with Kim about what you told me.
She looked at me.
- And ?
- She said that you took the money that she gave you and you left and that you admitted everything.
Lila looked at me shocked.
- She's a liar Julian. I left but I didn't took the money and....,
- It's okay. I believe you.
I said and I took her chin in my hands forcing her to look at me.
- I've got to go Julian....
She said but she was staring at my lips.
- You can go after......
I leaned to kiss her but she stopped me. She looked outside the window where Meghan was staring at us.
