Chapter 11

~Today~

Lila

I saw Meghan staring at us while Julian had leaned to kiss me and I know that I had to explain to Meghan what the hell was going on.
- I have to go Julian. I'm sorry.
I said referring to our interrupted kiss.
- Okay, I'll see you tomorrow.
He said his eyes searching for mine.
- Sure.
I responded not wanting to leave. What the hell was wrong with me ? Julian was engaged.
I opened the door walking out of the car before he could do anything I would regret and he left leaving me with Meghan.
- Okay, what's going on ?
She asked.
- Come inside.
I said unlocking my house's door.

- You mean that you had a relation in high school and you haven't seen each other since then but you found each other now ?
Meghan asked after I explained the whole story to her.
- Yes.
I said nodding.
- It seems like you are meant to be.
Meghan said clapping her hands.
- No, Meghan it simply means that he's going back in Wolfsburg in a couple of days and I'll never seen him again.
I said and I sounded more dissappointed than I intended.
- Not if you ask him to stay.
- I can't do such thing.
- Why not ?
- He's engaged Meghan. He's taken. I can't be involved in his life.

She asked and I looked at her surprised by her question.

I responded hastily although I wasn't sure that I was speaking the truth. My feelings were complicated lately because of him.

Meghan replied but I don't think she was convinced.
- It was not a girls' night out tonight.
I responded as we stayed in my appartemt talking about Julian.
- It's okay. We spend some time together anyway. But I've got to go.
Meghan said looking at her watch.
- No, can't you stay with me a little longer ?
I complained sounded like a five year old.
- I wish I could but I my shift is tomorrow morning.
She said grimacing.
- Fortunately mine is in the evening.
I said because I was pretty sure I would be exhausted by tomorrow.
- Lucky you. I've got to go. Call me if you need anything.
Meghan said kissing my cheeks.
- Good night.
I said closing the door behind her as she left.
I laid in my couch. I was thinking all this time about Julian. I couldn't destroy his life. I had to stay away but I just couldn't. I wanted him. It was late and I panicked when I heard my phone ringing. I wish it was Julian but then I remembered he didn't have my number so this was impossible. I checked my phone bitting  my lip. It was Thomas who was calling. Shit.... I thought of not responding but then again he would insist.
- Hello ?
I responded trying to be calm.
- Hello Lila. How are you today ? Are you still ill ?
He asked and I got confused. When was I .......and then I remembered.
- Yes, I'm better today.
I lied.
- That's good. I'll visit you tomorrow in the hotel.
- Oh...of course.
- What ?
- Nothing, my throat is hurting a little.
I lied again.

- I want us to talk face to face. I'll visit you tomorrow.

His question caught me by surprise.

I asked and I almost forgot to breath.
- You're avoiding me that's why. You can tell me if you have, you were clear that you didn't want a relation with me.
I could hear his sadness. He was hurt. I never gave him a chance. I know that it wasn't fair for him. We were just fucking. But I considered him a friend. A friend who I fuck with but still......
- No, Thomas. I haven't met anyone. What about you ?
That was a stupid question. He couldn't meet someone else. He liked me and that's why I felt guilty.
- No.
He just said.
- I guess...
- Good night Lila. I'll see you tomorrow.
- Good night.
I responded hanging up.
I felt worse than ever. Maybe I should finally give a chance to Thomas. He has proven himself all these years and besides I should do something to forget about Julian. Yes, exactly. I should be clear with him. I had to tell that Julian tomorrow....

I wore my uniform and I headed to the reception. The lobby was empty. I checked the bookings in the computer I had and for the next couple of hours I was bored. The hotel was quiet today. I started playing with my hair when I saw Vanessa and Julian coming to the lobby.
- I'll be here at ten. We can have dinner together.
Vanessa said and kissed him.
- Okay. See you then.
Julian said and Vanessa noticed me looking at them. I looked away immediately and Vanessa got outside the lobby. Julian made sure she left and he came toward me.
- How was your yesterday night out ?
He asked smiling.
- Fine. We had actually fun. We met new people you know some hot guys and all these kind of stuff.
I lied looking away.
Julian grabbed my hand coming closer to me.
- You do it on purpose cause you think that I'll get jealous.
He said getting mad.
I got afraid. He was acting as if he was jealous but I lied just to make him back off.
- I don't understand........
- Did you really meet new hot guys ?
He forced me to look at him again.
- No.
I finally said and he smiled.
- Good.
- Were you jealous ?
I asked smirking.
- Of course not.
He said being extremelly cool as if he was speaking the truth.
- It doesn't seem like that to me mr. Draxler.
I said whispering.
- Stop acting like that cause I swear I.....
- What ? Are you going to fuck me ? Kiss me ? What ? Come on  mr. Draxler give me your worst.
I said looking at him. He looked at me and although I felt embarrassed about what I said I didn't look away.
- I like you being savage.
He said touching my hair. I started breathing deeply and he came closer to me kissing and sucking my neck.
- Julian....
- What ? You asked me what to do with you. I'll kiss you first then.....
- Stop it. Thomas is coming toward us.
I said as I saw Thomas coming closer to us. I had almost forgot that he said that he would come today.
- Hello guys.
Thomas said approaching us and I smiled in an attempt to hide how guilty I felt.
Julian raised an eyebrow looking at my neck but I ignored him.
- Hi, Thomas. How are you ?
I asked smiling brightly.
Thomas smiled as well but then he looked at my neck and the smile dissappeared from his face.
- What ?
I asked but he said that it was nothing.
Julian was smiling as if he had won something and I looked at him worried.
- Nothing. How are you today Lila ? I've missed you.
Thomas said and looked again at my neck. I touched my neck just to make sure I didn't have anything and Julian burst out laughing.
- What are you both looking at ?
I said ready to burst in tears.
- Lila.....you have.....I mean someone....
Thomas started but then he looked away.
- What ?
I asked looking at both of them.
- It seems like you have soothers all over your neck.
Julian said smirking.
No way. I'm pretty sure Julian was responsible for that.
- They are not soothers.
I explained looking at Thomas who was avoiding to look at me and looking dissappointed.
- I asked you if you met someone and it's obvious that you lied when you said you didn't.
Thomas said looking down.
- No, Thomas....I......
- It's okay Lila. No need for explanations.
He said faking a smile.
- But I....
- I'm leavng. I just came to see if you're okay.
Thomas said greeting Julian and turning to leave and I didn't make an attempt to explain. What could I say after all ?
After Thomas leaving I looked at Julian who was smiling brightly.
- I hate you.
I finally said at him but he smiled even brighter.
- I'm sorry Lila. I can fix it you know.
He said and I thought that he was talking about Thomas.
- No. He doesn't know that you're responsible for this.
I said pointing out my neck.
- No, I mean I can fix your neck. I haven't finish with the soothers yet.
He said and he started kissing my neck again.
