I walked into the dimly lit bar to meet my close friend, Ace Merrill.
I've known Ace since the 2nd grade and I had to admit, he was hot .
I saw Ace with Eyeball, Charlie, and Billy over by the pool table drinking and talking. Charlie, Billy, and Eyeball then went to the bar to get more drinks.
I walked over there to Ace now sitting on a bar stool.
"Hey," I said.
"Hey, Livia." Ace smiled.
We talked and I noticed he had a pool stick in his hand.
"I bet I can win a game of pool against you." I challenged.
"Oh, really?" Ace smirked and stood up, looking down at me. We were practically chest to chest.
"Yeah."
"Alright, Liv. Let's see then."
We began to play pool and I was going for stripes and Ace was going for the solids.
After a few minutes in, a random guy came over with a beer in his hand.
He had black hair and green eyes. He was actually pretty good looking.
"Hey, hot stuff. Looks like you're a good player."
I saw Ace roll his eyes.
"Thanks," I giggled.
"You got it, babe. What're you doin' later?"
"Oh, just going home."
"How about you come to my place?"
I felt my face get hot and noticed Ace hung up the cue.
"Hey, pal. How about your slimy ass out of here?" (A/n: lol slimy)
"Oh yeah? And who's gonna make me?" Green eyes said.
"Me," Ace got closer and I saw he towered over the guy.
"You're a Cobra."
"Yeah I am, now get out of here, jack ass!"
The guy looked scared and hurried away.
"God, Ace." I said, hanging up my pool cue as well.
"What?"
"What was that all about?"
He sighed. "Livia, I don't like seeing dogs like him flirt with you."
I giggled. "Why?"
"Because. I like you." He shrugged.
I looked up from the pool table in shock. "You do?"
"Yeah. Its cool though if you don't feel the same." He came over and stood beside me.
I wrapped my arms around his waist and he rested his chin on top of my head.
"I like you too, Johnny."
"Ugh," I could feel Ace smile. "Don't call me that ever again, but be my girlfriend?"
"Yes, I'd love to."
I laughed and hugged him tighter.
See? Ace Merrill could be a sweetheart, and when he was it was the best thing ever.
