chapter 31

Alexandra p.o.v :

As mistress lona walked in, master let go of me. I was relieved.

Mistress lona is like an angel.

But there was something weird. The way she looked at me...

We got back home. Edward walked by my side, without saying anything.

When I entered my room, he said quietly " my offer is still up, Alex " he continued walking, and I slowly closed the door.

I thought I'll be sleeping by now, since I'm really tired .

But I couldn't.

Suddenly, I heard foot steps, my heart beats started racing.

Who could it be?

The door slowly opened.

I closed my eyes, pretending to be asleep.

Those foot steps...the way of the walk.

It's master?!!

I can hear and feel his hot breathing on my face .

Oh, my Lord! What should I do...

He moved away, I could notice that since I can't feel his breathing, anymore.

I heard the foot steps get further away.

While he wanted to close the door, I opened one eye, slowly.

I was right! It's master...

Coming into my room, in this hour...

How could he? I don't really understand him... at all!!

I, perhaps, can understand that Jack grew feelings for me, in the wrong way.

And mister Edward might be just fooling around .

Even if he is serious, it's not as much weird as master's situation.

He has everything!

Beautiful house .

Extremely beautiful wife.

He is rich and have good reputation.

So, why is he interested in a maid like me?!

I woke up the next day.

Feeling tired.

For Some reason, Lili was too ...

I looked over the window, and I saw Jack working.

He isn't cheerful like he used to be, and it's all my fault...

I've to do something!!

I quickly tried to think of something, to gather both lili and Jack together.

And lucky, I found something.

At the evening, I made a delicious dinner with the help of the chefs.

I put it in a nice table, and put some candles there:  making it look romantic.

I honestly don't know anything about those things.

But I asked the maid Serena, who knows a lot about it!

Putting the flowers, with that I've finished all the details .

Now, to the important thing. I made two letters for both of them, telling them that we'll meet there .

Hopefully, they'll come.

I hid in the nearest place, watching over them.

Lili comes first, and seems to be shocked.

Jack comes as well, but get even more shocked than Lili; as he looked at the things I made.

" What is this, Lili? " He asked her.

" I don't know..." she blushed a bit, looking around.

" Where's Alex? " He asked.

" Yes, we should meet her here, though " she said, quietly.

Jack rubbed his head, while Lili looked at him.

" Jack..." she called him out.

" What is it? " He said.

" I.... I'm in lo--ve with... y-you! " She blushed really hard.

She looked like a tomato right now.

So cute.

Jack was shocked, he sighed " Lili, you are an amazing and a cute girl, but... I can't love you back; and I cannot, certainly, accept your feelings, " he apologized, feeling guilty.

" It's fine... really, Jack... " she smiled and walked away, fast.

He sighted more as he rubbed his head.

Why is this happening?!

That idiot Jack!!

PoorLili...

Jack walked to the stable, and I walked after him.

" Why did you reject her like that?! And after all the efforts I did..." I yelled at him.

" So, you did that?!! " He yelled, angrily.

" Yes! And you broke her heart, idiot Jack!! " I yelled, again.

" You should have at least asked me, before doing that! " He said, madly.

" I know... but still, why did you reject her?! " I said to him. Rejecting a cute beautiful girl like Lili, Who love him so much! How can he...?

" Because I....LOVE YOU! " He pulled me into a hug.

" You and only you..." He held me, tightly.

" Jack... let go of me..." I said and tried to get away.

I suddenly saw Lili standing there. I gasped.

" Let me explain... Lili, please " I said, walking towards her.

" I don't want to hear you!! I hate you Alex!! Our friendship is OVER! " She cried, running away.
