Chapter 23

"Ugh" I was walking sluggishly through my living room, I had a massive hang over from the party last night and I was only out of bed because I heard my phone ding, I picked up my phone and saw a notification from a crappy game I downloaded ages ago, I groaned and took my phone back to bed with me anyway.

I climbed back into my bed and decided to watch some YouTube, I just remembered that Dan was meant to upload a video today so I checked his channel, I saw a new upload with the title 'my relationships' I was intrigued by the title so I clicked on it and began watching "hey guys, so as you can probably tell from the title of the video this isn't going to be another normal upload" he started "I'm going to be brutally honest with you and get this out the way, Phan isn't real" I grinned, he's just made hundreds and thousands of people very upset "Phil and I are best friends and room mates, no more, no less" he breathed in and out deeply "but as most of you probably know by now I do, well did, have a girlfriend who is another YouTuber" he looked really upset "and I fucked up, badly" he pulled the sleeves on his jumper to cover his hands "I called her a not so nice word and broke up with her" 'not so nice word' Jesus Christ who does he think his demographic is? A bunch of 5 year olds? "but I don't think most of you will care about this since you hated me dating anyone else apart from Phil" he was good at making people feel bad, even I feel bad and I haven't done anything "you went so far as to attack her emotionally and physically for what?" He started to tear up and so did I "so that you could protect a relationship that isn't even real?" He wiped his eyes "well I'm sorry, but I love Y/N and there is nothing you can do to change that, so stop trying to" I looked at the progress bar and saw that the video was only one minute long and it was almost over "Y/N if your watching this, I think that you are the most beautiful, intelligent and hilarious person I have ever met and I would be devastated if I could never date you again,  please forgive me" he stared into the camera and I stared back "anyway guys, remember to like and share this video and click here to subscribe and I will see you guys later, bye" and just like that, the video ended.

I decided to check the comments section to see how his fans reacted 'Dan! Don't get upset over that hoe! You've got Phil!' That comment alone got like 60 replies, one of them saying 'he said that Phan isn't real! Him and Y/N seem happy together so who are we to stop them?' That comment got 34 likes which made me very happy to see, people were starting to realise that we aren't just their puppets who date who they want us to date and do what they want us to do. 'I support you Dan! I hope you and Y/N are happy together!" That comment got over 1000 likes which again made me very happy. I'm glad that his fans finally supported our relationship but to be honest, after everything that's happened, I don't think I could take him back, he's my ex for a reason.

My phone started ringing so I checked the caller id, praying it wasn't Dan, to my relief it was Louise "DID YOU SEE DANS LATEST VIDEO??" She screamed in my ear "yes!" I tried to talk over her screams "SO ARE YOU GETTING BACK TOGETHER??" She's going to be so pissed off with me "no.." I mumbled "WHAT???" She needs to stop yelling "he's my ex for a reason Louise!" I tried to explain to her "YOU LOVE EACH OTHER Y/N AND YOUR JUST GOING TO THROW THIS RELATIONSHIP AWAY??" She kept yelling and yelling and I finally snapped "I TRUSTED HIM LOUISE AND WHAT DID HE DO?" I yelled back "HE STABBED ME IN THE BACK!" She was silent, I'm not one to loose my temper easily "AND NO AMOUNT OF YOUTUBE VIDEOS IS GOING TO CHANGE THAT!" I panted, I haven't done something like that in years, it felt great. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to start editing" and with that, I hung up.

Dans POV-

I was so anxious, Phil was sat next to me on the sofa and we were watching anime whilst drinking tea "has Louise called yet?" He asked, I shook my head. After a little while the phone rang and I scrambled to answer it "hey Dan" it was Louise, I felt a grin spread across my face "hey Louise! What did she say?" I faced Phil who was smiling at me "long story short, she doesn't trust you enough to date you again" I felt like my heart had been crushed and my grin immediately left my face "I'm so sorry Dan" Phil tapped me on the shoulder and mouthed 'what's wrong?' I didn't answer him "it's not your fault Louise, I'll talk to you later" I put down the phone "what did she say?" Phil asked "she doesn't trust me anymore" I didn't feel upset I just felt empty, like all my emotions have been sucked out of me. "Oh Dan.." I stared at the floor as he wrapped his arms around me "it will all work out in the end".
