Chapter 24

Le time skip~
"Dan, you need to get out of the house" Phil complained, I was curled up in a ball on my bed, buried under my duvet "you haven't been outside in weeks!" I wiped under my eyes, I had been crying non stop for days now "I know your upset about Y/N but crying in bed isn't going to help you" I groaned and rolled over to face him "Come on, we can get some Starbucks" my eyes flew open when I heard the word Starbucks "really?" I looked up at him "yes really, now come on".

We sat down by the window like we do whenever we come to Starbucks, "hello! Can I have two hot chocolates please?" Phil was up by the counter ordering "okay that'll be £5.99" Phil passed over the money and waited for our drinks, Starbucks was pretty empty, probably because it was 10am and it was the start of winter meaning it was very cold. "Here you go Dan" I looked down at the table and saw the classic Starbucks cup with my name messily scribbled on the side, I picked it up and took a sip, it was so sweet and creamy. "Are you feeling better?" Phil asked "sort of" I took another, longer, sip of my drink and stared out the window.

As I was talking to Phil I heard a familiar voice "can I have a caramel frappe and hot chocolate please?" It was Zoe, I rolled my eyes and groaned, I have no desire to talk to her whatsoever and then I realised something, why did she order two drinks? "Here you go" the waitress handed her the cups "thank you" Zoe walked over to a table on the other side of the room, thank god, and my eyes immediately locked onto Y/N's face "Earth to planet Dan, Are you there?" Phil clapped his hands in front of my face and I jumped, almost spelling my drink "Jesus Christ Phil! Don't do that!" He laughed at me "what were you even looking at?" He kept laughing through the his sentence "look behind you" he still had a wide grin on his face as he turned around, I looked over at Zoe and Y/N then back at Phil, he turned around and his grin had shrunk "This is hilarious" I glared at him and he tried to keep in his laugh "I swear to god Phil if you start laughing I will end you" I threatened, I noticed Y/N glancing at me and I felt my cheeks heat up. "Dan, are you blushing?" I looked down at the table "no" I snapped at him, by this point both Zoe and Y/N were staring at me, talking to each other "Dan if you miss her that much then just talk to her, she just needs to know you care" I was shocked, since when did Phil become a dating guru? I looked up at him "are you sure?" He nodded "I'm sure".

Before I stood up Phil put his hand on my shoulder "don't let your dreams be dreams" I immediately knew what he was doing "you should get to the point where everyone else would give up but you're not going to stop there!" I tried to hold in my laugh, he was quoting Shia la beouf in the middle of Starbucks "just do it!" I let out my laugh "haha very funny Phil" he smiled and took his hand off my shoulder "good luck" I thanked him and started to walk over, this whole scenario reminded me off the first time I tried to approach Y/N, It also reminded me of how much I missed her "hey" I mumbled, Zoe gave me evil eyes and Y/N kept looking at her drink "hello Dan" Zoe was obviously thrilled to see me "what do you want?" She really wasn't helping my nerves "um I just came over to say I'm sorry" I began "I'm sorry for everything I put you through, you don't deserve it" my heart was pounding so hard I could barely think "You're an amazing, intelligent, interesting and hilarious woman who I would gladly die for" Zoe looked over at her with wide eyes, is that good or bad? "I'm not expecting you to forgive me but I just want you to know that I will always care about you" I decided to leave before I embarrassed myself anymore than I already had.

"How'd it go?" Phil asked, I sat down on the sofa by our table "I have no idea" girls are so confusing, it's impossible to tell if your annoying them or not "Y/N ignored me and Zoe only said 6 words to me" I took a sip out of my hot chocolate, it had gone from hot to room temperature "only time will tell I guess" we both decided to leave before more people started arriving.
