The next jet I approached was unlocked, its door slightly ajar as someone moved about the inside of it. I did my best to wedge myself between the belly of the vehicle and the stairs. I couldn't tell where Joe was or if he even followed my instructions, but I had to focus on what I was doing. I studied the frame of the jet as if it would tell me something about the make and model, maybe even if it was customized in a way to haul kidnapped people. Practically I was running on sheer gut instinct more than training alone.

"Dock it in, lock it up. That's it." A voice hummed from above. Whoever spoke those words left in a hurry. But they didn't seem out of the ordinary. I studied the man as he strolled away and into the building off on the right. Suddenly the plane began to make small noises, moving slowly towards the open hanger. I followed under its belly after the stairs were pulled in. The engine died moments later, before the last of the lights in the hanger flicked off and whoever was driving emerged.

"Dock it in." The small round man repeated, taking the steps one at a time. "Lock it in." He faced the jet before leaving the stairs down, walking over to close the hanger door. I took it as an invitation to climb the steel steps and take a peek inside. Nothing was out of the ordinary except for two large bags near the back, covering the bathroom door. I fell onto my knees, studying the seats, running my fingers along the base just before I heard the man click the final button on the hanger door. Nothing led me to think Selena was here or as if anyone was on their way anytime soon. I sighed, walking down the steps slowly as the man spotted me.

          "Hey, what are you doing?"

"I was checking to see if my friend was on the plane, I guess he wasn't coming until morning."

"Oh David?" The round guy smiled, walking closer as I kept my distance. I didn't need anyone from the island identifying me as someone I was not. "He just left moments ago. He had some business to take care of. The flight leaves at eight tomorrow."

"Alright. I'll just come back later." My response caused the man to give a silent nod before he walked me towards the door which led back onto the platform. "Can you not tell David you saw me, its kind of a surprise."

"Oh trust me, I know." The man waved me away as I stepped outside. The lights slowly flickered off on the runway, leaving the sensors as the only form of direction. I paced myself, not really caring who'd see me. Everyone had seemed to vanish just moments prior. A small flickering light caught my attention near the gate I had once left. The guard was still in his own world, not paying attention to much. I studied the flicks and knew it was Morse code. It had to be Joe. He flashed a few slow lingering clicks before rapid flashing ones. 'Come back.' I sighed, doing as I was told before meeting him in the brush.

"She's not here." He informed me.

"If she isn't here now, she'll be here by morning."

"How are you so sure of that?"

"It's the only way off the island." I scolded him as he held his balance.

"Have you ever thought that whoever has her isn't trying to take her off the island?"

"Joe, if you know something I don't, please enlighten me."

"Whoever came looking for her needed access codes. Traveling with her would be a stupid move on their part. Endangering their entire plan. She has to be on the island."

"I'm not leaving here until I'm sure she's not being forced onto a plane someplace. If she leaves Hawaii, I wouldn't even know where to start my search. I don't know what I'm up against or who I'm fighting." I plopped myself down into the hard dirt, peering between the trees as Joe did the same.
