~ Selena ~

"We're running out of gas here." Demi informed the group of us in the car. Nick wouldn't stop hissing as his brother tried to stop the bleeding coming from his lower back. I was still in a state of shock. Not due to Nick, but because of the items in the trunk of the car.

"Head towards the shipping yard." Joe called up to Demi.

"The shipping yard?" Her eyes continued to check the rear view mirror as I sunk into my seat. I knew that maybe I shouldn't be mad at her at this moment and that Nick's well being was more important. We made one last turn onto another road which lead us towards the city. There was no way we could make it that entire distance with the amount of gas left, but no one seemed to mind it.

"When the car stops, I'll put Nick on my back. We make a run for any type of public transportation. The Agency isn't stupid. They're not going to put innocent lives in danger just for us. They'll always assume they'll have another chance. We'll meet up at the shipping yard." Joe finally bandaged his brother up, although the bullet stayed lodged within him.

I'll slow down near a bus stop. When we come across one, I'll allow you and Nick to hop out." Demi gripped the steering wheel, her eyes avoiding mine. "Selena and I will lead them away for another mile or two before we make our way towards the city."

"And how are we supposed to do that when vans full of people with guns are chasing us?" I crossed my arms annoyed. "Why don't you just leave me in the middle of nowhere? That was your plan anyway right?" I studied the changing scenery as the landscape turned from flat plain into houses and soon buildings.

"I'm not leaving you in the middle of this mess."

"That was your plan though." I complained, rolling my eyes before staring out into the streets. My chest began to ache as Joe slid up as best as he could between our seats.

"Can we not have a domestic dispute right now?" He faced me. "Can you run?"

"What do you mean can I run? Of course I can."

"Professionally?"

"What? I'm not a track star if that's what you're asking." I couldn't explain where my snappy attitude came from. Maybe it was due to finding out that although I've risked my life for the past few weeks, my girlfriend saved some of her money to run away from me. Or, it could be the fact that she kept a one way ticket in her bag to leave me trapped on some island where I'd have to start my life over, alone.

"I need you to trust me." Joe struggled to get the words out.

"Trust you? You don't even like me." I mumbled.

"Trust is all any of us have left." He faced Demi, her lips pressed tightly together. "This next bus stop is where Nick and I get off. Head towards the Dock. And you," he refaced me, "hold onto this." The black duffle bag was tossed into my lap. "That's all any of is going to have for a while."

"Okay, what am I supposed to do with it?" I ask.

"Demi, you explain it to her." Joe slid back into his seat just as we came to a quick stop. The loud popping noise of something in the distance went off as I found myself flinching. Joe dragged his brother out the door before we took off once more. The fuel in the car was running out. We hadn't even checked to see if the guys made it onto the public vehicle before we left.

"What are you suppose to explain to me?" I faced the brunette, her facial expression showing worry.

"Just do as I say, okay."
