ROCKY

To be coarse, I'm bored shitless. Like, really.

You would say it's pretty stupid when inmates in movies throw a ball in the air and catch it, over and over again.

Well, I woud gladly accept this ball if someone would offer it to me.

I thought I would stand it, that the sentence I got wasn't that bad, that I did well. I was wrong. I don't even know for how long I've been held captive here. It could be two days, but also a week at the same time. I'm loosing tracks. Let's hope I'm not getting insane too...

I do see people though, they don't starve me. A soldier comes twice a day and put down food in front of my cell, in the provided area, but he never speaks to me. Never.

Being alone is tough. I'd kill to have some compagny, but Davis has been more than clear. No visits.

I groan and rub my face in frustration. All I can do is lay all day, on the uncomfortable bed I have. This is not even a bed, it's more like a bench hung on the wall by two chaines, with a pillow and a thin blanket. It's all grey, empty, and I don't even have a window. They do let the light switched on during the day, so I won't complain.

The appreciable thing though, is the bathroom. A shower and toilets are including in my cell, in a little room at the corner. Not that anyone could see me, but it's great, to have privacy. It makes me feel less shut a away, less criminal.

I wonder why they have such rooms in this camp. Because yes, it's not the only "cell" here. There are four of them. The building doesn't look like a police station though, so I don't really understand.
(IMPORTANT a/n sorry for interrupting: it'd be changed in the previous chapters when I will edit them. The army would have built a wall around a neighborhood, plus the dormitories some people, including Rocky Ethan and Maddy, sleeps in and others buildings. Other than that, they installed others things in buildings already there before the Disruption: for example, the Canteen is in a restaurant. Families sleeps in the houses, and not the dormitories. Don't know if I'm clear, just ask if you don't understand ;). My point here is, that they could've have put Rocky in a police station if there was one, but there isn't in the neighborhood they chose to build the camp. That's what Rocky doesn't understand. That means they built a small prison.)(im probably confusing everyone rn 😂)

I sit down, and sigh longly as I run both of my hands through my hair. When you have nothing to keep  your mind busy with, thoughts and interrogations inevitably takes over.

Davis didn't hesitate a second to kick out this man, when he lashed out at this innocent kid. He's been more than clear, they do not accept such a behaviour. You break a rule, say goodbye to the comfort and safety of the camp. So why building cells? For cases like me? Like he said no one has dared to go out yet. I must have been the first one to chance it. I was reckless, or stupid enough, to sneak out and put my own life in danger. And I'm pretty sure every single person here respect the rules.

I did break them though. Twice. Once when I beat up his son, I had another chance. And then, this. One of the most important rules. I would say the number one rule even.

So why Davis has been so merciful with me?

For sure, if it wasn't for the man I rescued, I would've been roaming outside the surrounding walls of the camp, as a human or an Infected.

Why do I always attract troubles?

God, this situation is so messed up.

I was so deep down in my thought, that I didn't notice him arrive.

"So this stay in the clink?"

"Fuck Ethan you scared the hell out of me!" I breath out, my hand in my heart. Which is beating at, may I add, in a incredible, and probably not healthy rate. I glare at my friend, whose I do not appreciate at all the sly grin on his face.
