"Have a great day at school," my mother told me before I walked out the front door.

I sighed as she shut the door behind me. Is she that eager to send me off? How rude.

I was about to yell something, when my phone began to ring. When I looked at the screen, it was Mrs. Winchester calling me.

"Hello?" I answered as I held the strap of my backpack tightly with my other hand.

"Hi, I was just reminding you to come after school today. And on terms of transportation, I have notified a driver to come and pick you up," she said and my eyes widened.

"D-Driver?" Will all the kids at school think I'm rich?

Well.... I would think it seems fair, because of what I'm getting paid just to babysit some little girl.

"Yes, dear. Is there something wrong with that?"

"N-No... No... Not at all. Thank you. I have to go now, goodbye. Have a great day." I hung up and let out a long sigh.

I started having an uneasy feeling about all of this. But I already made it seem like I was going to commit to this. And I should. I would let down Mrs. Winchester and little Hailey.

I hated letting down people. And when I thought about it, my mother would be so upset and disappointed if she found about me taking on this babysitting job. But it bothered me so much that she hates it too much.

When I got to the school, I paused and took a glance at it. It didn't look fancy, or crappy. It seemed decent. That was only the appearance though. Let's see how it really is.

I was a tad bit early, and normally I liked to be late as a new student. Even though I was more of an outcast and an antisocial girl, I loved that feeling when everyone stared at you. I felt known to the world. I liked that feeling. But at the same time, I disliked it.

I planned a nice outfit to wear today, but I woke up and said "Screw it", and I threw on something casual today. I wore all black sneakers, blue denim jeans, a gray t-shirt and my hair was tied up into a ponytail.

I went to the office and told the lady I was new. She nodded as she handed me my schedule. "This is your new schedule."

"What about the one I received in the mail?" I asked her as the phone began to ring.

"We had to change it, too many classes were full." She answered the phone, turning her back to me. I guess I wasn't acknowledged anymore. "Hello? Oh, hi. Yes, of course I went."

She started to laugh and I scoffed as I walked out of the office. I glanced at my classes and gasped. "Advanced Placement classes? Are they fucking nuts?"

I clamped my hand over my mouth and looked around. I was bad at being a bad girl. I could be too much of a good girl. I looked to see if teachers were around, because being new was all about leaving good impressions. But there weren't any teachers, so thank God.

"I'm so stupid... how am I going to pass all of these classes?" I sighed as I began to wander down the halls, lost and super confused.

"Hi, are you new?" I heard a voice and turned around to see a tanned girl, slightly shorter than me and she had long, long silky dark brown hair. It was really wavy, but it was beautiful and captured every light.

I envied her. I had straight hair, and even though people always told me they want straight hair, it frustrated me. Not only did I have straight hair, I had thick hair. And whenever I wanted to style it, like; flat iron, curl, crimp, braid it and take it out for natural curls. It would always fall flat.
