Babysitting the Bad Boy: Books 1&2

2: 12.

"Good morning," I greeted Hailey as her little legs walked into the kitchen. Ryan was cooking scrambled eggs by the stove and I was sitting at the table, a cup of coffee in my hand. Hailey came over to me and I helped her climb up into my lap. "Did you sleep good?" I asked as I kissed the top of her head, before looking up at Ryan who was using the spatula in his hand to stir the eggs around to keep them from burning.

"Yeah," she responded as she rubbed her eyes with the back of her hands.

I sipped on my coffee as I stared out the kitchen window to watch as the rain from the sky fell on to the ground outside.

"Here you go. For my queen and the little princess," Ryan said as he placed scrambled eggs in front of me and then a second plate in front of Hailey. He bent over slightly to kiss the top of Hailey's head and then he kissed me, our lips lingering for a couple of seconds before he went back to the stove to serve the rest of the eggs for himself.

"So, what are we going to do today?" I asked Ryan as soon as he sat down at the table, the seat across from me. I took a few bites of my eggs and then a sip of my coffee.

He shrugged his shoulders as he stuffed his mouth. I waited for him to finish chewing and then he looked up from his plate. "Whatever you want to do. I was planning on spending some money on you guys."

"Like what?"

"You guys deserve to be pampered. So, I was gonna send you guys to the spa and salon while I go take care of some business, and then afterwards we can go shopping. I need new suits and Hailey needs a new wardrobe. And if you want some new clothes too, I'll gladly buy you some as well," Ryan explained and I nodded my head in approval of his plans.

"Yeah, that sounds great. Actually, it sounds more than great," I responded with a smile as I finished my plate of eggs. Hailey was still working on hers, so I got out of the chair I was sitting in and placed her in it. I took the plate and I walked over to the sink and rinsed it off before setting it down inside. "I'm going to go shower and get ready, okay?" I said to Ryan as I approached him, wrapping my arm around him. I kissed his temple before leaving the kitchen, and then making my way back to the bedroom.

The bathroom was connected so I grabbed a robe from the closet before walking into the bathroom. There was a tub and a walk-in shower separate from each other. I closed the door behind me and I stripped from my clothes. I hung the robe up on the hook next to the shower, and I grabbed a towel from the small shelf beside the tub on the opposite wall of the shower. I placed the folded towel on top of the closed toilet lid which was near the shower before stepping in. It took me a while to find the right temperature, but when I did, I let out a long needed sigh.

The glass of the walk-in shower wasn't clear, it was textured so that you couldn't see through. Plus, the steam from the water clouded the glass further.

"Kimberly! I'm going to give Hailey a bath while you shower, okay?" Ryan shouted over the noise of the water.

"Okay!" I shouted back and then realized after that I had no shampoo or conditioner to wash my hair with. My travel-sized bottles were in my suitcase that I forgot to take out. "Ryan! Can you get my shampoo bottles out of my suitcase?!"

"Yeah!"

Soon after, Ryan just opened the door to the shower and it startled me. "Ryan! I'm naked!" I cried out as he held out the small bottles of shampoo and conditioner in his hand.

"And? No need to feel self-conscious around me. You're still beautiful with or without clothes," he responded with a grin and I splashed water at his face, and he started to laugh. "But in all seriousness, we were bound to see each other naked sooner or later, am I right?" He gave me a wink and then quickly shut the door before I could splash more water at him.

"You're so stupid!" I yelled out before I rolled my eyes, setting the bottles down on one of the shower shelves.

I wore a purple baggy sweater, which I tucked only the front into my dark denim skinny jeans, and I finished the look with all black sneakers. I didn't do much for my makeup. Just some tinted moisturizer, mascara and tinted lipgloss. Hailey wore pink denim jeans and a black and white striped long-sleeved shirt, and black baby Converse. I tied her hair up using a pink scrunchie.

"We ready?" I asked as Hailey and I waited in the living room for Ryan to be done. He got ready last. I started to mess with Hailey's hair, trying to smooth down stubborn hair with my fingers.

"Yeah," Ryan responded and I turned to see him in a charcoal gray suit. He had a mint colored tie and a white button-up shirt underneath. His hair was swept back with a very slight amount of gel that wasn't noticeable.

"You look great," I told him and he gave me a smile as he quickly walked into the kitchen to grab his keys off the counter.

"Thank you. But you look better," he said and I blushed as I grabbed Hailey's hand and pulled her along as Ryan got to the front door, opening it for both of us. We all walked to his car, and I put Hailey in the back on a booster seat that I didn't know that Ryan had gotten. Ryan and I both got into the car at the same time, and I sighed as I turned on my phone, swiping away all the notifications on my screen.

"I'll call you as soon as we finish," I said to Ryan as he handed me his credit card.

"Okay. And if I can't make it, I'll send my assistant over. But, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to come pick you guys up. While you two are over there, think of a place you want to go eat afterwards." His gaze was fixated on the road and I stared at him. I couldn't help but smile as I turned my head away and down at my phone. "By the way, I called in advance to set an appointment. The name is under yours."

"Thank you."

"No need to thank me. This is what I want to do for you guys. You both deserve the best."

Another update!!

It was so hard finding the motivation to write a chapter. It's even harder to find motivation to do homework..

School year is almost over and.. I'm at a point where I can't decide whether I just want to quit or keep going 😂
