I was at Hailey's. My whole entire school day was super boring, nothing exciting happening at all. "My bwother is coming back," Hailey told me as we were playing with her dolls.

"You have a brother?" I asked her and she nodded her head as she grabbed the doll from my hand and put it with hers in their little car. "What's he like?"

"He's a big meanie! Mommy and Daddy punish him and send him to Germany wit Grammy!"

I nodded slowly at her answer. She was frowning, and it was the cutest frown I have ever seen. I placed my hand on her head and smiled.

"Maybe, he'll come back nicer," I suggested, but she shook her head. I decided not to continue talking about it, since it only seemed to spoil her mood. "How about we take you for a swim?"

Her face lit up. "Yeah!"

I got her dressed, picking what seemed to be her absolute favorite swimsuit. It was a one piece, pink with white polka dots with ruffles at the end of the sleeves.

Mr. Bradley pulled out her floaties from the huge shed by the gigantic pool. I rolled up the bottom of my jeans and slipped out of my dirty, black and white Converse.

I blew up her arm floaties, I almost passed out afterwards. She jumped into the pool right after I put them on her arms, which scared me because I thought she was going to die.

"Hailey, you need your sunscreen!" I yelled just remembering. As I was about to run back inside, a maid came out with it in her hands. I sighed in relief. "Thank you, you're a life saver."

I struggled to pull her out of the pool, which got me all soaked. As I was putting on sunscreen, I heard footsteps behind me.

"What are you doing here? And why are you touching my little sister?"

I turned around to see a tall, muscular guy with dark brown hair. He had a fair skin tone and green eyes. He stared at me with his arms crossed.

I stood up and looked at him. I opened my mouth to speak, but Hailey ran up to him.

"Wyan!!" She exclaimed happily as she hugged his legs.

"I'm her babysitter," I told him and he scoffed.

"She doesn't need one, so go away," he said as he picked her up, not caring if he got wet or sunscreen on him.

"You have no right to tell me that."

"Says who?" He shot me a dirty look before taking Hailey with him inside. She was tugging on his hair and poking his nose.

I pulled out my cellphone and called Mrs. Winchester.

"Hello?" She answered.

"Hailey's brother is here. What's going on?" I asked and I heard her slam her hand down on her desk.

She hung up and I stood there, confused and frustrated. I went inside and watched him play with her. He ignored my presence, and made Hailey ignore me to. She didn't even look at me, not once.

Twenty minutes later, Mrs. Winchester stormed into the house, and when she saw him, her fists tightened. "You weren't supposed to come until next month!" She shouted as she pointed a finger at him.

"Well, I'm here now," he said as he stood from the floor.

"Kimberly, get Hailey. Now." Mrs. Winchester commanded me, and I knew if I didn't do it, I would be in a whole lot of trouble too.

I rushed over and went to pick up Hailey, but he stopped me. "Would you just stop?" I said as I shoved him away and then picked up Hailey. "This is your family issue, I'm only doing what I'm being told to do," I added before leaving the room with Hailey in my arms.

I took her back outside, away from any of the noise that would happen inside. She sat on my lap in one of the chairs under those huge umbrellas.

She had tears in her eyes. "Is Mommy gonna send Wyan back to Germany?" She asked me and I sighed.

"I don't know, Hailey." My phone began to ring and I answered it, not checking who the caller was.

"Kimberly." It was Nathan. Why was he calling me now?

"Oh, Nathan. What's up?" I asked, kind of impatiently, only because I really wanted to comfort Hailey right now. She's just looking at me with tears in her eyes.

"Guess where I'm at right now?"

"Where?"

"In front of your house," he said and my eyes widened.

"W-What? M-My house?? Why? Why are you there? Look, I am really busy right now. I'll call you back when I'm on my way there."

I hung up and then looked at Hailey. "Who was dat?" She asked me and I smiled.

"It was my best friend. He came to surprise me," I answered her, trying my best to sound happy. It's not that I'm unhappy, but he picked the wrong time to come. But he didn't know...so I can't be too upset with him.

"Kimberly."

I looked up to see Mrs. Winchester storming towards me. "I am really sorry. You can go home early. I won't deduct it from your pay," she told me as she took Hailey into her arms.

"Okay..."

"Nathan!" I waved to him and he stood up from the porch step. He came over to me and hugged my tightly, lifting my feet off the ground.

"Kimberly, I'm so happy to see you again," he told me and I looked to see three suitcases with him.

"Why so many?" I asked him and he took a deep breath.

"Because...... I convinced my mom to let me move here....and live with you."

"W-What....?"
