"Hey, you alright?"

I turned my head to see a nurse with a sympathetic smile on her face. She held a clipboard in her left hand, and pressed it between her arm and chest. She had switched the empty liquid bag with a new one that connected to the tube, stuck into my arm. An IV tube.

"You were awake and then slipped back into unconsciousness. The doctor was just here. You've gotten better very quickly.. miraculous results, but not uncommon," she explained in a gentle voice as she pulled a pen out from her breast pocket of her scrubs, and clicked the point out. She wrote a couple of things down on the clipboard, and then looked back up at me. "You're very lucky.. Anyways, we've contacted your mother and she should be here soon. Have a good rest."

The nurse left and I was left alone in the hospital room. I gazed up at the ceiling. The lights were turned back off and only the soft sunlight poured through the windows. I glanced over, and the blinds were open, but the clouds were out in the sky. Dark gray clouds, a sad atmosphere, and the sun was covered. I sighed as I looked at the monitor beside my bed and saw my heart beats being recorded.

There was a knock on the door and Nathan walked in. He didn't look surprised that I was awake. Instead, he stalked over to the small sofa in the corner by the window. He took a seat and wiped his palms across his jean-covered thighs. I wasn't sure if he was going to say anything, because his gaze traveled out the window. There was a few moments of silence, before he cleared his throat and looked over at me.

"You must've heard that you're mom is coming," he stated, already knowing the answer.

"Mm-hmm." I responded, humming in response. My voice was gurgle-y, as I had not spoken in a long time so the mucus had built up in my throat. I swallowed hard as I continued to stare at him.

"And that you are quite lucky.." He glanced down at his feet as he slouched over, resting his elbows on his knees. "Please... Kimberly.. don't ever scare me like that again," Nathan added, his voice trembling as he had a hard time trying to make eye contact with me.

"Nathan..."

"I held you in my arms as your were bleeding... I..." He sucked in a deep shaky breath. "I thought I was going to lose you.."

Tears started to form in my eyes and in his eyes as well. There was an abrupt knock on the hard wooden door, and it swung open violently. My mother rushed in. She dropped her purse to the floor and ran to me, almost tripping over her feet. Her whole face was wet with tears and she was still sobbing. She took my right hand, the hand that was broken, into her warm hands and she continued to sob as she looked at me.

"Kimberly! Oh...! Kimberly.." She called out my name as she placed her forehead against my hand. "Why?! Why must you continue to scare me like this?!" She was yelling at me, but I know it was because she's concerned about me. She acted angry, but she wasn't, she was scared seeing me lay like this, all tired and vulnerable.

"It's a miracle that they were able to save her limbs. Many bones were crushed, so they replaced some with artificial bones," Nathan spoke up, informing my mother. She looked up at him and just nodded as she wiped her tears with the back of her hand. She walked right over to him and grabbed him by the collar. Mr. Bradley was here and waiting by the doorway with my mother's purse in his hands. He did nothing to stop her.

"Where is that bastard!? Him and his stupid father are the cause of all this!" My mother screamed out and Nathan grabbed my mother's wrist gently, trying to get her to release her grip.

"He left... with his brother," Nathan answered and my eyes widened as I looked to Mr. Bradley. His eyes were widened too and he also dropped my mother's purse as he went over to Nathan. My mother stepped out of his way and Mr. Bradley grabbed Nathan's shoulders.

"David?! David is still alive!" Mr. Bradley had tears in his eyes as he nearly wept. "My David... My David is still alive..." He fell to his knees.

"Tim!" My mother exclaimed as she grabbed his arm. Nathan stood there and then glanced over at me. He was confused just as much as I was.

The atmosphere was suffocating. The silence was so silent, it made me feel deaf. Nathan stood next to my bed, leaning against the wall as Mr. Bradley and my mother both sat on the couch. My mother was trying to comfort him, but he looked almost dead as he sat there, not even blinking or moving a muscle.

"David... David is my son..." Mr. Bradley finally spoke. His voice was very low, almost to the point I couldn't hear him. "Him and Ryan share the same mother...," Mr. Bradley added.

There was another moment of silence that passed.

"I didn't even know that.. that my wife even had a son... but right before I got the news she died, she went missing.. After all, Isaiah pursued her like crazy. I had a letter that was sent to me, and inside, were pictures of David when he was born. I remember so clearly, that it said: 'This is David. He is yours, but will be mine.' I had lost my mind..."

My heart ached for Mr. Bradley as I closed my eyes, tears falling down my temples. Does Ryan even know? Does David even know? Those questions came to my mind suddenly.

"I grieved for so long to the point where, I pushed David so deep into the back of my mind that I would soon stop thinking of him. I even stopped lighting candles for him..."

"S-So who's older? Ryan or David?" I asked Mr. Bradley, wanting to know if Ryan was born first or David.

Mr. Bradley had tears in his eyes when I asked and I soon realized that I made a mistake. I shouldn't have asked that question, but he sighed, his breath shaky. "Ryan. My wife had Ryan with Isaiah while we were still married. I believe she was tricked... Isaiah always had a way with women, but I want to believe that my wife wasn't so easily swayed. And, it pains me so to think that he took my wife and son, and daughter away from me. Everyone that I loved." His clenched his fists tightly.

"I will kill him," I said and Nathan looked at me with surprise. My mother stopped rubbing Mr. Bradley's back and turned to me, her face turning pale. "Send me to prison.. or send me to Hell.. But I will kill Mr. Winchester."
