I ran after Nathan. "Nathan! Wait!" I called out after him as he walked really fast.
I tried to get closer, but I ended up tripping and falling down. I looked up and he was still walking away. "Nathan! At least help me! I sprained my ankle!"
I couldn't move my ankle, it hurt really bad. And my hands were all scraped, along with my knees. He stopped and slowly turned back to face me.
When he saw me, he ran over here to help me up. I sucked in some air as I tried not to put weight on my other ankle. I wrapped my arm around his neck and he placed his arm around my waist.
"Nathan, I--"
"Let's talk later. Let's get you home, first," he said, cutting me off. I sighed as I kept my gaze forward. It took us a long time to get me home, but thankfully there was no school tomorrow.
When I got inside, my mother was in the living room watching TV. Probably some, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, crap. Whatever makes her happy, I guess.
"Where have you been?" She asked me and I ignored her as I limped to my room, Nathan assisting me. She stormed into my room and kicked Nathan out. "Answer my damn question."
"Mom, why should you care? Are you scared your daughter is going to give you a bad reputation?" I looked up at her. She had her arms crossed and she was infuriated with me.
"You're grounded! You're right, I shouldn't care. Just do whatever the hell you want! I'm not giving you anymore money! And if you want me to go a step further, I can kick you out of this house, since you're 18, right?!"
My jaw dropped as she spun on her heel and walked out of my room. Nathan walked in shortly with an ice pack, wrapping cloth and painkillers in his hand.
He wrapped my ankle without saying anything and then handed me the ice pack and the two painkillers.
"Kimberly..."
I looked up at him, waiting for him to say something. But he exhaled and turned towards the door.
"Goodnight," he said as he walked out, closing the door behind him. I laid down, resting my head on my flat pillow. I wanted to cry, but no tears came out.
I just took the painkillers and threw down the ice pack. I went to bed.

When I woke up, I attempted to stand up, but my ankle was throbbing and I fell over on the floor. "Frickin' fish sticks..." I whispered as I used my bed to help me stand. I hopped on one leg towards the door.
Then, my phone rang and I groaned as I hopped back to my nightstand. It was an unknown number, but I decided to pick it up just in case. It's probably a stupid ad.
"Hello?"
"It's Ryan."
My eyes widened. "How'd you get my number?" I asked him, but he completely ignored my question.
"Do you want to do something today, with me?"
"Yeah, I would love to...but my ankle got sprained..."
"Oh, okay. Well, get better." He hung up quickly and I sighed. I hopped to the kitchen, hoping there was some breakfast already made. Then, I stopped and tried to listen for some sound.
There was no one even in the house, I assumed. Then, the doorbell rang and I groaned again. I hopped to the door and there was Ryan, standing there.
I stepped outside, more like hopped and then I stared at him. "What the hell? How do you know where I live?" I asked him, and he grinned.
"I got connections. Anyways, I just came here to see for myself if you have a sprained ankle."
"You thought I would lie to you? Here, have a good look," I said as I raised up my leg. I tilted over and Ryan caught me by the shoulders.
"Yeah, after last night I feel like you would've just ignored me," he confessed and I shook my head.
"Of course not, I'm ju--"
Nathan's car pulled up and he stepped out, carrying a duffel bag. He walked towards us and then set it down. "You again. Get the fuck away from, Kimberly," Nathan told Ryan.
Ryan just smirked as he crossed his arms. "I don't have to. She likes me always around, unlike you," Ryan said back and Nathan clenched his fists.
"You're a fucking douche. You know that? Quit playing with Kimberly and find another girl toy to play with."
"Stop fucking telling me what to do, you stupid prick. I do what I want, regardless of what you say," Ryan shot back and Nathan threw the first punch.
"You bastard!" Nathan yelled out as he threw another punch. Ryan punched him hard in the face.
"Stop it! Stop it!!" I screamed out, tears rolling down my cheeks. "Guys, please stop!"
They went at it for a while before they came to a stop. Their faces and fists were bloody, blood dripping to the ground. Ryan didn't say anything, and he turned away from Nathan. He didn't even bother sparing me a glance.
He got on his motorcycle and started it up. My mother rushed out the front door and my eyes went wide. I didn't even know she was home, so what was she doing here now?
"What is going on? Oh my God, Nathan, what happened?" My mother rushed over to him and I scoffed.
Ryan rode off, finally glancing at me, only for a second though. "Kimberly, what did you do?" My mother asked me and I laughed.
"You're blaming me? You're blaming me for this? I don't even know what just happened," I answered her, flabbergasted as I ran my hand through my hair.
Now, I am just beyond pissed. She's blaming me for something I didn't do?
"Ms. Adams...It's--"
"I am tired of your shit, Kimberly Anna Adams. I sat there and raised you, for 18 years! And now you're giving me this kind of attitude?" My mother walked back in the house, taking Nathan with her.
When I went to open the door, it wouldn't open. She locked me out of the house. "Open the door!" I screamed out as I banged on the door, loudly.
Someone suddenly grabbed my arm, when I turned around there was a man with a black mask, holding a gun right at my face.
"Scream and you die, Ryan's girl."
