My throat grew dry and I licked my lips nervously. Across the table which I was sitting at, sat Mrs. Winchester. She pushed some hair out of her face, while she sat there with perfect posture.
"Why did you come here?" I asked her, curious as to why she had to stop me. She did her best to avoid my gaze, but she ended up meeting mine with hers. As I looked into her eyes, I noticed fear written deeply in them.
"Look, I apologize for my behavior when we first met. I had honest intentions about making sure my daughter gets the best, but my freedom was limited with a man like my husband. I was only really able to do things he tells me to do... So if I harmed you, I truly meant no harm.."
I took a deep breath as I glanced down at my lap. I was playing with a loose thread at the bottom of my shirt, keeping my hands busy.
"Let me tell you something, Mrs. Winchester. I don't care about your apology, what I want is revenge. My family and I have been hurt way too much for me to sit here and forget about all this. So, if you're here to say sorry on behalf of your damn husband, save it." I sat up in my chair, glaring at her and she cleared her throat nervously.
"Ah... y-yes.. I see. You've grown into a brave young woman. I am just here to warn you. Going head-to-head with my husband is a death wish. Thats all I am here to tell you. You have heard my warning."
"Why should I receive a warning from you? Do you know how much pain you have caused Ryan his whole life?"
"This is still about Ryan, I see. Haven't you realized how much your little friend, Nathan, is in love with you? He'd do anything for you... so much to the point that he got beaten up. Twice. He ended up in the hospital each time. When I warn you, you better take it and understand what you're sacrificing. Sure, there is always Ryan, but there is always Nathan. Which do you this is more of a realistic option? Save yourself the pain and trouble."
She stood up, yanking her expensive purse off of the table. She turned around and began to walk walk off, her heels clicking against the tile floor. By the exit, I noticed a few men in suits and in front of one, was Hailey standing there.
I gasped, covering my mouth with my hand. Was she watching us the whole time? Hailey didn't even spare a glance at me. She kept her head down as Mrs. Winchester took her hand and they walked towards the doors.
"Hailey! Hailey!"
I knew that voice. I quickly turned my head towards the direction, and I saw Ryan running towards the doors. I stood up from the chair I was sitting in. Two of the men in suits blocked Ryan's path.
I saw Hailey turn around and try to run towards Ryan, but Mrs. Winchester yanked her into a taxi. "Hailey! Hailey! No!" Ryan screamed out and the two men pushed him away.
Ryan fell down and slid across the tile a few inches. I grabbed my bags and quickly ran over to him. He got up and then soon fell to his knees when he saw the taxi gone. I plopped down next to him and wrapped my arms around him.
I ignored all the stares we were getting from people. I could feel them from every direction.
Ryan cried hard, and I slowly rocked him back and forth until he finally calmed down. I pulled away and I took his hands into mine.
"Kimberly, I'm sorry for being an idiot.." His breath smelled like cigarettes and I did my best not to breathe in the disgusting smell.
"Ryan--"
"No, I was stupid for just leaving like that. Twice. I left you twice."
"This time you came back, right?"
"Not really... I keep running away like a coward. And I almost lost you..again. So, I want to stop running away."
"Let's do this together, Ryan. We can do it."
We looked into each other's eyes for a while. Moments went by, and it was like we were the only two there. Soon, we realized we were still on the floor and we both stood to our feet. I clutched my suitcase tightly in my hand and I stared at him.
There were only two choices we could choose from. But, only one of them became clear to us. Although, it was the riskier option and could result in heavy damage at the end, we both decided it was the better option.
We knew that it's better to try and fail, then to never have tried at all. And we were going to give it our all no matter what...

Okay, so this was obviously a short chapter.
As you can probably tell, this story is coming to an end.
I honestly don't know what to do anymore.
My writer's block is so huge right now, it's massively irritating me.
But anyhow, I am actually going to write a new story soon.
I hope you guys will check it out soon.
And I was thinking of maybe doing something to interact with you readers. Like a Q&A????
Idk, let me know, I just want to talk with you guys and get closer with you all. I think that would be cool.
Thank you all for reading and supporting BtBB. :))
