"Nathan!" I cried out his name as I watched his life slowly slip away from him.

"Kimberly, get out of here.. It's not safe for you." Nathan told me and I shook my head as tears poured out of my eyes. My hands trembled as I held them against the sides of his face.

"Nathan.. please don't die. I need you to live, okay?" I turned to Ryan. "Help me, please. We need to get him into the car."

"Kimberly.." Ryan's voice was quiet. He wasn't moving at all and I couldn't quite understand why. Nathan needed help, and Ryan wasn't helping.

"Ryan!" I screamed out and then Nathan wrapped his weak fingers around my wrist. I glanced down and he gave me a fragile reassuring smile.

"Kimberly. Everything.. is going to be alright. This is what I deserve.."

Ryan moved closer and wrapped his arms around me. "Kimberly, we need to go. Right now."

I grabbed Nathan's hand tightly, shaking my head as more tears fell down my face. I didn't want to leave, I didn't want to see Nathan like this. Despite everything we went through, I loved Nathan deeply. We've known each other for a long time, and he was the greatest friend I could ever have. The amount of pain I felt, was so agonizing and excruciating to watch as he bled out.

"I love you.." Nathan spoke his last words to me as Ryan ripped me apart from him. I lost my grip from his hand, and I screamed out Nathan's name continuously as Ryan dragged me out of the warehouse. I watched as Nathan's body continued to lay there and slowly disappeared from my line of sight.

"We have to get away as soon as possible. My father will detonate the bomb soon!" Ryan explained to me, but I felt like I couldn't hear any of his words coming from his mouth. "Kimberly, come on! Snap out of it!" Ryan continued to drag me and we were almost to the car when a loud explosion knocked us down to the ground.

I yelped as my body hit the pavement, and I looked up to see the warehouse up in flames. "Nathan's body." I stared at warehouse that was already going down in ruins. Ryan picked me up and rushed to the car where Smith was there with the backseat door open. Ryan climbed in with me and Smith shut the door as he ran around to the driver side.

"Step on it," Ryan commanded.

"Yes, sir." Smith responded and he did exactly what Ryan said. The car got out of the area very quickly and I couldn't watch the warehouse any longer.

"Kimberly. Your mother, Mr. Bradley and Hailey are in the other car, okay?" Ryan told me and I looked over at him. "Kimberly.. things are going to get better from now on. Nathan died while saving me.. and I know that I had hated him for a while, but I will forever be indebted to him. And to make sure he rests in peace, we should live our lives as happy as we can from here on out."

"We.. we never got the chance to make up.. I never got the chance to forgive him for what he did. I won't ever know what truly happened to him.. I don't know what to do, Ryan.. he was there for me during times I needed someone."

"I know," Ryan whispered as he embraced me tightly, holding me close to him. I couldn't cry anymore, no matter how sad I was, tears wouldn't come out of my eyes. I was so broken to the point where not even crying could relieve some pain. I kept silent as Ryan did his best to console me.

Although Ryan was right about trying to live happily, I felt a part of me missing, and I don't think I could ever get rid of this feeling. At least not for a really long time. Nathan didn't deserve to die like that, and now, I couldn't even get the chance to bury his body because he won't even have his body left.

"It's going to be hard for you right now, I know, but if there's even a slight chance for you to look on the brighter side, we have your mother back safe and sound. As well as Mr. Bradley. Oh, and our wonderful Hailey." Ryan gave me a comforting smile and I sighed, not even sure how I should react.
