Ryan, Hailey and I were all on the couch in the living room. Hailey was in Ryan's arms and I watched her as she slept, snoring quietly. "Ryan.." I spoke his name and he looked over at me.

"Hm?"

"About your mother... we should tell Mr. Bradley," I told him. "Your real mother... was... Mr. Bradley's wife before your father had taken her away from him."

Ryan sighed as he closed his eyes and then nodded slowly. "Okay..." he stayed there with his eyes closed for a long time and I stared at him, studying all the features of his face. I realized after a few years since we were kids in high school, he looked lot older and I think all this stress has been making him look a lot more tired. I saw the bags under his eyes and I reached my hand out to cup the side of his face. He opened his eyes slowly and I ran my thumb gently underneath his eye and he just looked at me.

"You've been so tired," I said as I pulled my hand away and stood up from the couch. "You should go rest. Let me put Hailey to bed in the guest bedroom," I added as I reached my arms out toward her.

"Alright." He took his arms off of her and I scooped Hailey up from his lap and I carried her to the guest bedroom. She was getting heavier and heavier each day. I walked down the hallway to the guest bedroom next to the bathroom and I walked in and toward the bed where I pulled the blanket back to expose some of the mattress which was covered in a chocolate brown sheet and I laid her down. She let out a small breath of air and she turned on her side and curled up in a ball. I smiled as I pulled the blanket over her body.

When I walked out of the room, my phone started to ring and I pulled it out of my pocket and saw that it was my mother calling me. I answered it as soon as I entered the living room. "Hey Mom, what's—"

"Kimberly!" There was panic in her voice and immediately I began to worry. "Kimberly, oh my God... Kimberly! I-It's about Timothy!"

My eyes widened as I began to think about multiple things that could've happened. "Mom, what's wrong? What about him?"

"He's gone. I-I don't know where he went! Kimberly, please I don't know what happened to him.." She was sobbing now and I stayed silent as I closed my eyes, trying to think of numerous scenarios involving Mr. Bradley.

"Okay, Mom, I need you to calm down. Has it been 24 hours yet?" I asked her.

"No."

"How long has he been gone?"

"Since this morning. Normally, he'll run errands for a few hours, so I thought maybe he just had to take care of a lot of stuff. Despite him being older, he's still a busy man," she answered and I nodded my head slowly as I opened my eyes and began to pace back and forth in the living room.

Ryan walked out of the kitchen. "What's going on?" He asked me and I held up a hand to signal for him to stay quiet.

"Okay, how many times have you tried calling him?" I asked her and she hummed quietly as she tried to recall.

"I'd say well over 20 times, maybe in the span of 2 hours? I'm not completely sure. But it's a lot and you would think that he would've answered at least one of them."

"You left voicemails?"

"Of course I did."

My eyes widened as I thought about how Ryan's mother is dead. "Mom, I want you to stay at home right now, and I need you to stop calling him, okay? I'm going to come pick you up."

"W-What's happening?" Her voice was trembling and knowing that she's scared is making me feel concerned and it made me want to cry, but I didn't. I had to stay strong and composed, or things could go wrong.

"I'll tell you later. Start packing your things and whatever you do, don't answer the phone for ANYONE. Do you understand? I don't care if Mr. Bradley calls you, do not answer your phone. Not even me, okay?"

"O-Okay.." She whispered and then she hung up. I slid my phone back in my pocket and I looked over at Ryan.

"I think Mr. Bradley was taken. And now I believe my mother is going to be in danger if I don't get to her soon," I told Ryan and he rushed over to me. "I'm borrowing your car," I added.

"I'll go with you."

"You need to stay here and watch Hailey—"

"Follow me.."

"Besides, it's better if I am the only one to go just in case something happens. It's safer with less numbers," I explained to him as I followed him into the master bedroom. We went into the closet and then he squatted down as he pushed clothes out of the way to reveal the bottom half of the bare wall. He pushed his hand against the right center of it and a section of the wall opened it up. There was a safe sitting there and he put his thumb on the small fingerprint scanner and the door unlocked.

He pulled out a handgun from the display of other handguns arranged in the safe and he handed it to me. "It already has ammo in it. I keep all of them full just in case," he told me as I slowly took the gun from him. "Judging by your look, you probably didn't expect for me to have this, did you?"

I shook my head. "Of course I didn't."

"Well, when you have a father who is Isaiah Winchester.. you have to be prepared. He's someone with a lot of enemies.. and they usually target family first. Jokes on them, though. He never really cared about family, just used us for the fact to call himself a 'family man' to the public eye to keep a good reputation for himself. Anyways, I've rambled on for too long. Just take it and promise me you'll be safe," he told me as he put a hand on my shoulder.

"I promise, Ryan," I said to him and he leaned in to give me a sweet kiss goodbye. I kissed him back fully knowing that this could be our last kiss we ever share, and his lips say the same thing. "I'll be back as soon as I can," I added right after we pulled away from each other.

"Okay," he responded before he watched me as I left the room.

If my mother gets hurt, there will be no way that Mr. Winchester is going to walk away from this unscathed. I will hunt him down and make him pay.

So anyone worried about Mr. Bradley?

I know this chapter is a little on the shorter side.. but I hope you guys enjoyed it.

I know it's been a while since I posted a chapter. But my mind went blank this whole summer lol, I apologize.

Also, I have been super stressed about other things, but writing seems to make me feel so much better.
