"We go back to ignoring each other?" I heard him say as we walked into the house.

I stopped him from opening the door and made him look at me. "We don't ever talk about last night, ever."

He licked his lips, nodding. "Don't worry. You know we have to make a bogus story of what happened last night right? Everyone is going to have questions about why we were together."

He was right about that. Mindy is going to want to know where we were at as well as my brother. My mom is close-minded so she believed Mindy story of picking me up early in the morning. My brother and Mindy are a different problem. What am I supposed to tell them? The truth is not what they will be hearing.

"We tell them we went to a house party and you got too drunk and we knocked out in the car. I already told Mindy." I reminded him.

He rubbed the back of his neck, sighing. "I feel like Xavier is going to have a hard time processing nothing happened last night when we were both drunk." He confessed.

"He will believe the story and if he doesn't too bad." I scoffed. I pushed the door open and walked inside. I don't know why I'm overthinking this. Either they can believe me or not. I shouldn't be giving anyone explanation of what I do in my free time.

Mindy was waiting at the top of the stairs, with her makeup done and her hair pinned up in a messy-do. She looked pretty. When our eyes met, her eyes twinkle with curiosity of seeing Ale and I together. I walked past her and went to her room where the stylist was waiting for me.

"So?" I heard her chirp.

I sat down on the chair and frowned. "Is it late to take a shower?"

Mindy glared at me. Okay, it's late. I slumped further on the chair while the lady went on to curl my hair. Mindy stood in front of me, with her hands folded underneath her chest.

"Yes?"

"So, are you going to tell me what happened between you and Ale last night?" She raised a brow.

"Nothing. We went to a party, we got really drunk and past out in his truck." I was sticking to the story of what semi-happened. We were drunk and we did sleep in his truck.

She rolled her eyes, seeing right through me. "Did you two have sex?" She placed her hands on her hips.

My eyes widen. "What? No!" I yelled. "I would never have sex with him. I'm not even sexually active." I snapped.

"Bullshit, if you guys had sex then tell me. I think you should be telling someone about your sex life."

"Aren't you suppose to be getting dressed?" I tried changing the subject.

"Not until you tell me what happened last night." She kept her hands on her hips.

Lord, why did you have to give me a good friend like her? Why did she have to be ale's sister? I continued to ignore her and tried to figure out how much I could slip to her without telling her I almost had sex with him.

"We had one drunk kiss..." I mumbled.

She smirked. "And?"

"And what? that's it. One kiss and we realized it was a mistake and we knocked out!"

She pouted. "I can see that happening." I watched her from the mirror as she stepped into the bathroom.

That was easier then I expected to be. She stepped back out with her wedding dress in a hanger.

"Now, if you excuse me, i have to go change and go to the church. I'm sure Ale and you won't be ready by the time my mom leaves so leave together in the next thirty-minutes!" She ordered and left the room.

The stylist continued to curl my hair, minding her own business, but I knew she was judging be about lying to her. Maybe Mindy chooses not pick up on my lies but other people, strangers, smell the lies I spit out.

"He's a good kid." She suddenly said. "I don't think it's bad if you two like each other."

"We don't like each other. I have a boyfriend." Well, I'm about to have a boyfriend when Lucas asks me out which I think will be soon.

She simply sighed and went back to finishing my hair.

Why does everyone have opinions about Ale and I? We aren't compatible at all.

I think.
