With the new positivity in mind, I was expecting for today to go by a breeze. A new outlook in life meant positive vibes and brand new doors opening. Something within me was telling me new doors were about to be unlocked and others were going to be sealed for good. I wish that was exactly what was happening, but life, it tends to have surprises up its sleeve.
When I arrived to school I was surprised to see how much staff was here. The students around looked as confused as I did as I made my way towards my locker. Something must be going on today for them to be having this much staff in. Usually extra staff tends to come aboard when we have school events but as far I am aware there nothing planned for this week. I got to my locker and placed my backpack inside.
"Jules." I heard Alejandro's voice beside me. I looked to the side to see him leaning against the other lockers with a straight line shaping his lips.
"Ale?" I responded, mocking his name with a question as he did to me.
"I want to talk about Demi and I..." his voice trailed off. I sighed heavily, he wasn't going to let it go. Deep down, I figured he was going to want to clear things out.
"You don't have to explain to me what happened. She did a pretty good job doing that. I don't need a explanation because you're able to do what you want."
He bit down on his lower lip. "I feel like I owe you an explanation especially after the kiss."
This kiss...how could I forget the fucking kiss. "Do you li-" I was cut off by the intercoms.
"All students please report to the gymnasium instead of first period. I repeat, all students please report to the gymnasium instead of first period. All students have five minutes to get there." The principals voice echoed throughout the hall, once the intercoms beeped, the whispering of everyone started.
Alejandro looked at me perplexed. "What's going on?"
I shrugged. "I'm asking myself the same question."
"Come on." He said, grabbing on my hand and leading me down the hall with the rest of the students. Before we made it to the gymnasium we bumped into the group, including Demi and Lindy.
"Am I the only curious as to why we are being called in?" Maria asked.
"I'm assuming we are having a routine protocol for safety measures. Probably, people leaving campus." Lindy commented.
Whatever it was, it had people rallied up about it. We managed to find a section for all of us and we sat down waiting patiently for the gymnasium to get filled. In the center of the room the principal, assistant principal, the head district principal, and the nurse were standing there, speaking to one other.
"It must be serious if the head district principal is here." Alejandro muttered.
"Yeah. I know." I responded.
"Watch this be another bullshit gathering." Xavier snickered rolling his eyes.
The principal appraoched the mic and asked everyone to settle down. In a instant the entire gymnasium went silent. "I have gathered you all here because there is a sitatuion happening on campus which resources still me is a major problem. I will not tolerate for this non-sense to be happening on school grounds or to have this problem escalte to publicity." He sighed heavily.
"The student body has a big issue with sexual transmitted diseases and with the recent cases we have been made aware of, we realize this is a crucial matter."
The silent was broken with students begining to speak to each other, shocked by what was happening. My head turned to look at Alejandro and Xavier whose face had turned pale.
