Harry's POV
Familiar sounds of excitement and energy lingered through the bedroom walls, waking me up from the first sleep of my last tour. The feeling I had was different to other mornings before shows, this felt more surreal, and more important than past performances.
I couldn't help but compare this to athletes, going into the finals of their tournament. Every tour and every show was a lead up to this very moment- the final stages of our tournament. This tour was the last for the time being, so it had to count, it had to be the best, especially for our home crowds who supported us before the rest of the world knew our names. Today was game day.
My eyes opened to bright sun beams shining through the opened curtain window, reminding me of home in Melbourne, waking up every morning to sunshine. I loved the feeling a warm day gave me, it got me motivated, and gave me energy to want to achieve things in my day.
I rolled over to wake Jen like every morning, except this morning I hugged nothing but a pillow, as the sheets beside me were an empty crease of where she previously laid. I could hear people in the room outside the bedroom, she must have been with Eleanor.
I threw the bedsheets off myself, deciding that joining them on their morning gossip, would be much better than laying in bed alone. I knew it bothered Eleanor that I wore nothing but boxer briefs in front of her, so I decided to keep up my tradition of annoyance, and walk out half naked again.
"No one wants to see that," Niall was the first to scold me on my morning attire. He was joined in the lounge by the girls, and Willow.
"No one wants to see your ugly mug, but here you are," I retorted.
"I think it's cute," Willow pinched his cheek, kissing it shortly after.
"So what's this about then?" I smiled, pointing between the pair of them.
"What does it look like?" He blushed, like he always did when his love life was the centre of attention.
"Looks like you got yourself a lass, young Niall," I sat beside Jen, pulling her into me.
"Yeah," he answered simply, trying to avoid the conversation.
"So how did this all happen? Which one of you finally said enough is enough, we are either together or nothing at all?" I asked them, knowing the conversation must have come up.
Willow pointed to Niall, and I was immediately impressed that he actually had the confidence to finally speak up, and tell her what he wanted. I knew he was never happy with just having fun, that wasn't Niall, he wanted commitment, he just never found the right girl to give him that.
"I think we both just thought neither of us wanted to be in a relationship, so we kept things as they were, until he told me he loved me. We both knew what we had was deeper than just sleeping together, he was just the first to say it out loud," Willow explained the situation, making me happy that Niall was using the word love with someone.
"So you love her?" I questioned him, masking my smile to appear serious.
"Yes dad, anymore questions?" He fired back.
"You know Willow is my family, which makes me protective of her, which means I will beat your arse if you hurt her," I playfully warned him, as well as being serious at the same time.
"And Willow, you know he's my best friend, he's also my daughters God father which makes him family, so if you hurt him, I'll just have to fire you and have you work for Angus in LA forever," I warned her next.
"Okay, and you know that girl you have your arm wrapped around is my blood, and if you hurt her, I will cut your balls off and have your arse deported out of Australia, personally," she bit back, making everyone in the room laugh.
