Harry's POV
No amount of adjectives in the English spoken language, could describe the way I was feeling right now, looking into my fiancé's eyes. The sun reflected off her brown orbs, mesmerising me as they looked into mine.
She had said yes, agreeing to spend her life with me, and committing herself to me for the rest of our days. This was all I wanted- I wanted that moment that felt perfect, when I knew we were both ready for this, and the way I felt when I knelt down and heard the word I needed to hear, I couldn't even put into words the overwhelming love I felt for her.
"I can't believe you did all this, and went to this much effort, just for me. You're so cheeky, did you set up that lie about me having an interview? Or is the crew about to pop out at any second?" She held her hands to my cheeks, swiping her thumbs across my skin.
"Mason and I worked on a lie together, I knew it was the only way you would get to Paris, and be truly surprised. This wasn't planned over night baby, it's been in my mind for months. A lot was said and done without you knowing. Remember the day I asked you to help me pick out a ring for my mum?" I reminded her of the first lie I told.
"From Robin? Yes..." she looked at me with suspicion in her eyes.
"That was never for my mum, it was always for you. I wanted to know what you liked, and the second I saw that ring on your finger, I knew in that exact moment I was ready to marry you, and you were ready to marry me. Everything was kind of full steam ahead from there," I explained to her.
"Harry, oh my gosh, you're so sneaky. I must have looked like such an idiot at Christmas, when I asked your mum about the ring. I knew that conversation was awkward, I wasn't imagining it," she thought back to that awkward encounter at the dinner table, when my mum had no idea what she was talking about.
"I just about had a heart attack, thinking the whole thing would be ruined. My parents knew I was going to propose, but they didn't know I had you try on rings, and use my mum as a cover story," I laughed at the whole incident.
"Who else knew? You know, that you were proposing," she asked.
"Basically everyone that you saw here today," I chuckled, finding amusement that so many people knew, and managed to keep it under wraps.
"I took your dad to a golf game last year, and asked his permission before I made any plans. Then I gradually told more and more people, I even told Bella," I told her.
"I can't believe everyone knew, and no one even hinted at knowing anything. I wish Bella was here, I wish she got to be part of this," I saw the disappointment on her face, that her best friend wasn't here.
"You're her motivation, Jen. She said she's working as hard as she is in physio, so she can stand beside you at our wedding. You know I would have flown her here if she could have come, I promise," I assured her.
"I know you would have. You've gone above and beyond for me, since the day we met. I couldn't think of a more perfect proposal, my heart is so full right now, I don't think I could ever love any man, more than I love you. You and Mia have my whole heart, I can't believe I get to spend my life loving you," she teared up again, reaching up to kiss me.
"Here come the army," I glimpsed up at our family and friends, walking towards us on the bridge.
"You're kissing, that must mean good news, right?" My mum looked at us in anticipation, with all eyes on Jen and I.
"We're planning a wedding," Jen showed off her ring, triggering an uproar of cheers and emotional parents.
"Congratulations baby boy," my mum immediately kissed me, as Lauren rushed to Jen, suffocating her in a hug.
