Jen's POV
"Home," I exhaled a sigh of contentment, happy to have finally arrived back home to Melbourne.
The past few months of my life I had been on such a cloud of euphoria, reaching levels of happiness, pride, and love, I didn't think were possible to reach. I had been happy for quite some time now, but that was nothing to how I felt right now, walking through the airport holding my fiancé's hand with one hand, and carrying my daughter with the other.
I couldn't see how life could snowball downwards, I was too blissful to ever get down from this high. Harry was finally home with Mia and I, we could finally do just normal things new parents do. I knew we would never exactly fit into the "normal" category, but we could try as best we could, without knowing we'd have to country hop because of tours or promotions.
"That smile has been on your face since we left the plane, are you happy to be home?" Harry noticed my good mood, commenting on the smile that had barely left my face the entire week.
"I'm happy about life in general. I get to marry the man I love, I get to watch my daughter grow more and more each day, I have a job I love that is waiting for me to come back to, and we get to just be normal for a while."
"Normal sounds nice," he chuckled, kissing my cheek before we were faced with the hassle of customs and airport checks.
My family were here with us, we'd all flown back into Melbourne together. I was already missing everyone else I'd seen in the U.K, it was always sad to say goodbye to them all, especially Anne, she was always emotional, which made me not even want to leave. I wished she could have lived in Melbourne with us, but she was happy where she was.
"There's paparazzi outside," Willow read from her phone, rolling her eyes at what was waiting for us on the other side of these doors.
"I don't understand how the f*ck they know we're here," Harry shook his head in annoyance. I still didn't understand how people knew our every location, either. There were so many flights every day, how did they manage to find out which was ours.
"Well maybe there wouldn't be such an interest, if someone didn't propose in such a public location, and photos were taken. Everyone wants the first shot of you two, especially the ring," Willow retorted.
"Forgive me for not thinking of my surroundings, on the day I was proposing to my girlfriend. I think she took priority, over any potential lurkers. The news was bound to come out anyway, and I'm not the type to sell my story to a magazine to make money off my private life, so this saved me an announcement," he shrugged.
I wasn't really mad about it, everyone I cared about knew about the engagement before the photos were released anyway. The only annoying thing was not all his fans were thrilled about it, but it really didn't mean anything to me, I was happy and no amount of negative comments would change that.
"Fair enough. Just don't answer any questions, okay?" She looked at him quite seriously, which confused me a little as to why he couldn't, but I brushed the comment off.
"Okay," he looked just as confused.
"Is everyone finished? Am I photo ready?" My mum flipped her hair dramatically, making us all laugh.
"Lead the way, super model," Harry laughed, as we made our way into the public airport.
True to Willow's warnings, the paparazzi were there snapping photos, and screaming things out to us. Most were asking to see my ring, but I managed to keep it hidden behind Harry's hand. Not that I didn't want to show it off, but this was mine, I wanted it to myself, I would share it when I felt like it.
