Something Infinite

A message to my readers.

Hi Everyone!

I hope everyone is well, in good health and happy spirits. It's a crazy world we're living in right now. I know here in Melbourne it's been crazy with strict lockdowns and restrictions, but that's just how it has to be for the time being. It sucks, but my heart breaks for the people that have been affected by Covid, or have loved ones who have suffered.

Wattpad has been a great escape for people to fill the many empty hours in the day, or a great distraction from sleep before a test in the morning (a recent reader mentioned) it always makes me smile seeing those comments, because I myself have been victim to a fanfic keeping me up all night. Yes Anna Todd, I'm looking at you. By the way, who has watched the 2 After movies? Thoughts? I've seen both and must say the second was 100x better than the first, but there's nothing quite like the books. I absolutely love Josephine Langford as Tessa, but still not convinced Hero portrays the best Hardin. However, still enjoyed watching him. I am a secret After fanatic, I follow all the pages on Instagram and keep updated on the spoilers (before I watched) and BTS lol. It's no secret Anna inspired me to write my own books, and I made so many amazing friends from that phase of my life, and from my own books. So I would love for this to be a space where you can all meet each other, and maybe make a new friend. You already have so much in common- you love Harry, you love reading, and you've both read this series! Get chatting! My favourite thing in the world has been talking to you guys, and even meeting a few out in Melbourne at Harry and 5SOS shows!

I still to this day read every single comment I receive. It may take a while to get through them, but I make sure I do. There has been so many new readers as of late, and so many wonderful compliments. It blows my mind that anyone would call this their favourite fanfic. I started this not having a clue how to write, no real story line in mind, and really just winging it. To this day I'm still learning how to write and plot a story properly. I did write a manuscript of Something Great, changed the title, names, and a lot of the content, I even worked with an editor and received so much helpful feedback. I've taken a big break from writing, but next year I plan to get stuck back into it and hopefully publish this manuscript I've been working on for 2 years now. I have everyone on my tail about it! I will do it! I really encourage you to start writing if that's a passion you want to pursue but you're too scared. I've spoken to so many about this, and my best advice is go for it! It's scary to put something out there, I'm still embarrassed letting my mum read my work, but it's so rewarding hearing such good feedback about something you've created. There are no structural or developmental rules on writing on Wattpad, just have fun! If you want to publish in the future, that's what editors are there to help you with!

A question I've received a lot is if I'm going to continue writing on here. The answer as of right now is no, not at the moment. Maybe in the future, I'll never say never. I'm happy with the trilogy I have, I'm not ready to leave behind that world I've created just yet. I think I'm nearing 4 million reads all up, which is mind blowing. I can't believe it. Thank you all so much for the continued support, feedback, love, and beautiful comments you leave. I try to find the perfect comments to reply back to, because I really believe it's not difficult to acknowledge your audience at least once. I see all the comments and I remember all the usernames, and I will respond at some point, don't you worry about that. Just this morning I was having a giggle where someone was getting angry and commented "this is not the real Harry Styles" over and over, because he wasn't being a great boyfriend in that chapter. I love that passion, even the angry comments are great comments because it's showing emotion and I adore it! Just let me adore you!

Okay this is getting kind of lengthy, I get carried away. Oh also, another comment I received this morning I wanted to share! ANGUS IS GOING TO BE A DAD! Not with "Gem" but his is partner "Em" he just dropped a G haha! And he's having a baby girl. He also worked for MTV for a little bit recently, just living his best Something Great life! Oh and another thing, I see people trying to follow me on socials, I don't use my Twitter any more. I read through it for news and such, but that's it. Instagram I just have for family and friends too. You're always welcome to message me on here though, I'd love to chat. But like I've said, use this as an opportunity to meet someone new today, comment below and make a new friend. We all need a little company, especially right now.
