Hello loves, Jen here!I miss you guys so much! As you know, I no longer intend on posting to Wattpad in the immediate future, as I have some other writing ventures I want to see through. I'm not leaving Wattpad (Other sites have attempted to poach me a couple of times but I declined) so if I ever do decide to publish online again, it will be on here. BUT I do miss writing on here, so here is a little Christmas special for you to enjoy.

Jen's POV
The air was thick with excitement, and filled with scents of my mum and Anne's Christmas dinner baking in the oven. Harry is laying on the floor under the air conditioning, playing with the toy train we bought Jaxon for Christmas. No matter how old my husband got, he would always be a child at heart. Not even Mia bouncing on his back asking for a ride around the lounge was distracting him from his nephew, squealing and laughing every time Harry played the train whistle.
"I don't know who is more enthralled with that train." Gemma laughed, plumping down on the couch beside me.
"I think this is a nice change from the dolls Mia makes him play with every day," I smiled. "He loves her to pieces, but he has a special bond with Jaxon, too."
"I can see that," she smiled as Angus walked in, lifting Mia off Harry and into the air. "And those two are just as inseparable."
"Why do our children seem to be more interested in our husbands, rather than us?"
"Because they're the yes parents, and we're the responsible no's," she asserted.
It was true. More often than not I was saying no to Mia's plea for more TV time, or the new popular toy on the shelf. Saying no to a four year old in the middle of a department store, might very well be the most stressful and humiliating incident I am put through on a weekly basis. She hit octaves I wasn't even aware she could, putting her dad's vocals to shame on most days.
"You should have witnessed the meltdown last week. She wanted this particular toy, and I tried every possible way to avoid the aisle it was down, but of course she found it and begged me for it. I said no, because I had already got it for her for Christmas, and that one over there was siding with her. I couldn't exactly say I bought it, because it was a Santa gift. Needless to say, he copped an earful when we got home, and she had forgotten all about the toy within five minutes of me throwing it back on the shelf."
"Men!" Gemma groaned, rolling her eyes.
"What about us?" Harry glared, looking between us with suspicion in his eyes.
"You can't say no to our children! We don't like being bad cop all the time!" Gemma scolded her brother.
"Who can say no to this little face?" He pinched Jaxon's cheek. "Mia just has to look at me with those big green eyes and say please daddy, and I crumble. What am I meant to do? Break her little heart?"
"She's going to have it broken eventually," I said.
"Let someone fucking try! We'll see how that works out for them!"
"Fucking twy," Mia repeated.
For some reason she was obsessed with repeating any swear words she heard. She had a particular fascination with the word fuck as of late.
