Jen's POV
Seeing how much this tour was affecting Harry emotionally, really brought out a protective side in me, wanting to guard him from feeling any kind of hurt. He was always my protector, and always my shoulder to cry on, so now it was my turn to be there for him.
"You're going to be amazing tonight babe, I can't wait to see you up there doing what you're meant to do," I held his hand, as we made our way back into the dressing room.
"You don't know how much it means to me, that you're actually here," he said in a low voice, still showing me he was a little shaken up from his chat with Liam.
"There isn't anywhere I would rather be. If you're feeling anxious, or feeling upset, look for my face in the crowd, and perform for me until you feel okay again," I stopped us just outside the door, taking his sad features between my palms.
"I will," he gave me a small smile, leaning down to kiss me gently.
"Get yourself pumped up, talk to these people you won't see again in a few weeks, and stop thinking about the end. Live in the present, enjoy it, take in every second, and make memories that you can carry with you later on."
"Okay, okay, I'm good. I'm going to talk to some of the crew, but thank you for always being that one person that manages to make me smile, even when I'm frowning inside. I love you," he thanked me, looking more upbeat than he was minutes ago.
"I love you too, now go," I tapped his bottom, encouraging him to hype himself up for the show.
"What are you two doing?" I rejoined El and Soph on the couch, leaning in to see what they were looking at on the small phone screen.
"I was just showing Soph some of my photographs for my blog. Anyway, is he okay? I've noticed over the week he's been a quite down and detached, so to say," Eleanor commented on Harry's recent mood swings.
"I think it's all just hit him that this is all coming to an end, and his life is changing from what he knows. You know he was thrown into this world when he was so young, this is all he's known for six years, to say goodbye to it all would have eventually taken its toll," I explained to them.
"Does he regret wanting to call it quits?" Sophia asked.
"I don't think it was solely his decision, he suggested it, they all agreed, so he can't really regret something he didn't have full control over," I felt a little defensive of him, not wanting anyone to pin the blame on him for the band splitting up.
"But if he hadn't of said anything, they probably would have still been together. I don't know, I just know what Liam has told me," she shrugged, making me extremely curious now as to what he was saying.
"What has Liam said?" I said a little more angry than intended.
"Nothing bad, don't get upset over it," she tried to brush it off.
"Obviously something was said, for you to basically blame Harry for this split," I retorted, wanting to know what people were saying behind his back.
"He just said that he wasn't ready to call it a day, and Harry's heart just wasn't in it anymore. He said he knows he has a daughter to think about now, so he felt like he had no choice but to agree to this, or he'd be an asshole to separate a father from his child," she finally said.
"Is he really trying to blame my daughter, for this band coming to an end?" I bit back, becoming more furious that now the blame was on my child.
"It's not like that Jen," she shook her head.
"Then what's it like Sophia? Are you really telling me that Liam isn't blaming Harry or the people in Harry's life, for the band splitting up? Because it sounds to me that's exactly what you're saying."
