Harry POV

Welcome to the final show, I hope you're wearing your best clothes...

***

My hands fumbled with the silk, pink material of my tie. The last item of clothing to finish off the outfit, of the most important day of my life. Two months ago I only dreamt of this day, counting down the hours, minutes and seconds until I smelt the white roses lining the aisle, which I knew Jen would have chosen, being her favourite flower. I knew no details of today, I wanted everything to be a surprise, down to my bride.

I hadn't seen Jen for three days, since she attended my last therapy session at the rehabilitation center. She wanted to take me home, and spend the night together before our wedding day, but it's not what I wanted. The next time I saw her, I wanted her to be walking towards me in her white dress. Her next words, I wanted to be her vows. I wanted to start this new life with her, as my wife. I wanted to leave the last few months, buried in the past, and solely focus on today and beyond.

The only piece of information I knew about today, was who I would have stood beside me at the altar. Four men who had been with me since before this roller coaster of a journey began, and one who had been there since the day I met the woman I knew I was meant to marry. My five best friends, always.

"I can't believe you've got us wearing pink, Haz," Louis was attempting to adjust his tie, messing up tremendously. The difference between him and I was, I was full of nerves and not thinking clearly, he just didn't own a single tie himself, and had no idea what he was doing.

"Jen chose it. The bridesmaids dresses are pink, so we need to match," Angus defended the colour choice.

"Look who's a fashion expert all of a sudden. You sure you're hosting the right show? I'm thinking maybe your true calling is Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," Louis teased him.

"Wait until it's Eleanor's turn to be picking out colour schemes for your wedding. God, I hope she chooses pink, maybe I'll have a word with her at the reception," Angus teased him back.

"We've only been back together a few months, marriage isn't really on the cards for us in the near future."

"Gem and I got engaged a few months into our relationship, now look at us, we're about to become parents. Marriage is the best thing I ever did. I have no regrets about it," Angus proudly stated. I knew he loved my sister, and they looked really happy together, I was happy for them.

"I heard you're having a little boy, congratulations man," Zayn hugged him.

"Little Jaxon, I can't wait to be a dad. Now that Gem and I are in our own home, a new network picked up my show, and she's doing well with her freelance writing, everything seems to be falling into place. He just seems like that last missing puzzle piece."

Angus beamed as he spoke of his life. I was happy to learn he and my sister had moved into a home in the same suburb as Jen and I. Jen had told me they were only a couple of blocks away, which made her as happy as it made me. I looked forward to seeing our children grow up together, as I did with my cousins in England. They were both doing jobs they loved, and seemed genuinely besotted with one another. My sister deserved that kind of happiness. She'd looked out for me all my life, always putting others before her own self. Now it was her turn to put herself first, and have the life she deserved.

"You know Angus, you really are the best man I could hope that my sister would end up with. At first her choice in male companion was questionable, I wanted to throttle you, but over the course of your relationship, I see why she fell in love with you. You two are literally like one person who was cut in half, thrown in two parts of the world, and you found each other again. You bring out the best in her, and make her happier than I've ever seen her. I really am proud to call you my brother in law. I say that on behalf of Jen and I. I know she loves you so much, and I'm grateful for all the times you've been there for her. Everyone needs a best friend like you in their life. I was never envious of your relationship, I always trusted you, and that in itself speaks volumes about the type of person I see you as. You're a great man, and you'll be an even better father. Thank you for everything you do for the two most important women to me. I love you, mate."
