Pizza Planning and a Surprise

"So what do we do now? It's not like we can go on a date or anything in this town." Chase whispered as he rested his hand above mine on the joystick. I shrugged as I interlocked my pinkie with his, almost hating that we had to do it this way. Almost.

"Well, we could always go to the town just over the bridge. It's not like we're confined to Mission Creek. Plus, we could have dates at the apartment. If the guys walk in, we'll just say we were eating dinner." I suggested as I punched the gas on the car game. Pizza had been getting boring, so Chase and I, had moved our own party over to the arcade section of the pizza place. The others were still chatting away about the details of Leo and Jannel's wedding night. Again, not exactly something I wanted to listen in on.

"Good." Chase said as he leaned in and pressed the speed button once more. I could feel a smile creep into my face as we played the stupid game. I had missed this. I had missed him to be honest. Not only had Marcus and I not really had a spark, but Chase had a way of making me feel something no one else could. When I lost him, it had sucked. Now the only thing that sucked was hiding us from the others.

"So, when is the next date night?" I whispered as the game came to an end... With me losing. Why on earth did I still play this? I always lose.

"Tomorrow? We could leave town and head over to a little restaurant no one is in?" Chase whispered as we each noticed Adam making his way over to us. I nodded quickly before forcing Chase to drop his hands to his sides, throwing mine up in the air happily.

"Yes! Thirtieth place!" I cheered happily, brining on a confused look from Adam.

"In what world is that good?" He asked snidely before pushing me to the side and slipping in two quarters. I shook my head as I leaned on one side of the game chair, Chase taking a seat at the one next to it as the game began.

"In my world. I wasn't in last." I defended as I crossed my arms over my chest, bringing a laugh out of Chase. Adam nodded, a smug smirk on his face as he picked the same car I had.

"I always wondered why you never drive, but know I know. You suck." Adam got out before I slapped him swiftly in the shoulder.

"I don't drive because it's Chase's car, not because I suck at driving." I hissed back at him.

"Okay..." Adam left off before speeding into first place right at the end. I could feel my mouth drop before he threw his arms into the air and stood, making a victory face my way as he stepped down from the game.

"How?" I asked, wondering just how he did that. Yes, during this game in particular I had been distracted by Chase's hand on mine, but every other time... Maybe I did suck.

"Hey cool kids!" Leo yelled as us motioned us over. "We didn't come here to play games. Let's have adult talks." Leo called once more. I bit into my lip to keep from laughing while Adam and Chase joined me at my sides.

"I don't know about you two, but Leo's definition of adult talk, sounds terrifying." Chase teased before reaching for my hand. I shrugged him away and stepped ahead of he and Adam, strolling back over to the table and taking a seat on the opposite side of the table as the other four.

"What kind of adult talk do you want to have Leo?" Chase asked as he sat down at my left, reaching over again and finally grasping my hand while Adam took a seat next to Caitlyn across from us. I laughed and nodded.
