That Definitely Wasn't in College
━━━━━━━━━
Jamaica had gone by way to quickly. The random juices being handed to you as you entered the lobby, the beach. The beach was a feat in itself. It was definitely calling my name as we got onto the plane, even now, but we had to come home. I mean, I really didn't have to come home. I didn't have a job. Then again, I couldn't stay... Chase was needed back here in Mission Creek. Our dad's were freaking out simply because they actually had to work for once in their lives. They're so rich I didn't even know what they could do. They had no skills as far as I was concerned.
"Home at last." Chase sighed as he pushed open the door, forcing his bag insider as he held the door open for me. But the door wasn't just open for me, if you get what I'm saying. It seems we always have guests when getting home from places.
"Yes, home." Leo breathed as he and Adam rolled their bags inside the apartment. "This is really the only place that makes everything feel like home. You picking up what I'm putting down?" He asked rhetorically, getting a quick eye roll from me as I wheeled my bag back to my room. Chase followed behind me, laying his bag down on the floor before the two of us made our way back out into the living room. Adam and Leo had already canvased the fridge.
"You guys never have anything to eat." Adam whined as he pulled out a brown banana. He can't blame me for that one, I didn't even like bananas. That one was all on Chase.
"That's because you guys always drag us out to eat. We never have to go to the store." Chase countered with a sly smile as he crossed his arms over his chest. "And why don't you guys go home to your wives anyways? You literally just got married, Adam." He pointed out smartly as he looked to me.
"And you only got married two or three months ago, Leo." I added, watching as the two flipped around to look at us.
"We can't be there." Leo shot back dully as he made his way back over to us in the living room. "The wives are house hunting. And we need to go to this baby class with you guys." Leo announced as he motioned between the two of us. I could feel my face scrunch up as I looked back to Chase. What were they talking about?
"Please tell me this isn't a lamaze class and I'm the only girl." I pleaded, watching as the three boys looked to me. They were all confused. I thought we went over this.
"What's lamaze?" The three asked in synch. Adam warily pealed the banana and took a bite. I squeezed my eyes shut, not wanting to see that particular sight before I opened my eyes and looked back to Leo.
"It's a class that helps a woman prepare for birth. It kind of gives her tips on how to breath and stuff while the baby's coming out-"
"Okay!" Adam interrupted as he held up his hand and jumped up to sit on the counter. "We get it."
"That definitely wasn't in college." Leo added in as he ate his cookie. I'll be honest in saying I don't remember buying that. "But we're not going to this, lamaze. It's this sort of daddy class where they teach you how to put diapers on the baby, and they give you a group therapy session. Just between the four of us." Leo explained, the boy wonder finishing off his cookie.
"We learn how to swaddled a baby." Adam relayed as he tossed the banana peal into the trash can. I crossed my arms over my chest. This wasn't making any sense.
"Swaddle?"
"That's what I said when Jannel told me this on the plane." Leo nodded to me. I could feel my eyebrows furrow as my mind went out to the two pregnant women that were somehow getting out of this.
