Swim Suits and Caviar
━━━━━━━━━
I laughed as I walked around the small store with Kim. She had said she didn't have a swim suit that fit since she hadn't been swimming since she was five. So now, we were on Main Street shopping for new swim suits.
"Well it's not like I had a choice." I went on, gaining another laugh from Kim.
"So you just went along with it?" She teased as she picked up a swim suit and held it up against herself.
"Yeah. Leo and I ran down the isle, knocking down every canned food item while Adam and Chase got in a fight by the toy section. Then we convinced the cop to trick Leo into thinking he was the only one getting arrested." Kim smiled excitedly my way at the mention.
"Did he handcuff him and everything?" She wondered. I laughed and nodded as I picked out a red, white, and blue swim suit. There was a lot of forth of July stuff out... It's still April guys.
"Pushed him into the back of the car head first, too." I continued. She shook her head as she sifted through the racks a little while longer.
"You know I can hear you." Leo called from the boys' side of the store. Adam had met up with us since he had gotten dragged downtown for a nail session with Caitlyn and Jannel. Those two, always getting their nails done. It felt nice to finally have another girl to hang out with. But it also felt good to hang out with the guys for a bit, too.
"I know. I just think it's funny to relive the whole thing." I called back to him with a bright smile. He shook his head and held up a pair of swim trunks.
"Hey guys?" The four of us glanced back over to him before he held them against his chest. "Does yellow make me look fat?" Chase rolled his eyes.
"Well given the orange ones make you look like a traffic cone-"
"Shut it." He interrupted before placing the yellow ones back and pulling out the orange ones with a few white stripes on each of the legs. "Maybe I want to look like a traffic cone." He agreed with himself before heading over to the front. I rolled my eyes and he began to tap his foot, leaning back a bit as he started up a random conversation with the store owner. We were in here a lot for never going swimming so the owner knew almost all of us by name. Apparently Bree was a hard name to remember. He always called me Bentley.
"Find one?" I asked towards Adam and Chase as they began to make their way over to us. The two nodded and held up their choices. Chase held his up with one hand while Adam began to parade around the store with both his hands over his head, holding his American flag swim trunks up in the air as well. Kim laughed as she watched the sight play out. She would have to get used to our weirdness pretty quick if she was going to make it with even the four of us. Wait till we add the other two wives.
"You find one?" Chase asked as he stood at my side, pushing one after another to the side along with me. I shrugged before spinning around to the rack behind me.
"I like this one." I finally gave in. It had a pretty cool pattern to it. Blue, purple, green, all my favorites. Why not?
"We slightly match." Chase whispered in my ear teasingly before walking away to the front with the boys. I turned back around to see Kim biting her lip as she went through the bikinis.
"No rush, Kim. The boys always get done quick-"
"Found one!" She cheered as she held up one with colorful fringe on the top. I nodded approvingly before linking arms with her and pulling her to the front of the store. I had found waterproof makeup for her so she could go swimming without worrying about her bruises. Plus, we were staying the night in my old house so we all had overnight bags. This should be fun.
