The One With The Milkshakes

Leo's POV

"You act like its a big deal." I scoffed as Adam and I made our way through the doors. There were people everywhere in this place.

"It is a big deal!" Adam whined. "How did she not know?" Adam went on. I rolled my eyes and patted his shoulder as we started to make our way up the escalator. This mall was pretty large when you really looked at it. It would never be as amazing as the one in Vegas, though. Did someone say Disney Store?

Oh right, they didn't. Because we don't have one in Mission Creek!

"Adam." I started as I looked over to him. It was kind of awkward with us riding right next to each other on this moving stair. "It's not like you came out and told her when you were in love with her." Adam shook his head.

"Why couldn't she tell, though?" Adam continued to ramble on, his face scrunching up. He was a sad Adam today. But also very energetic. It was kind of weird.

"Oh I don't know. Maybe it was because you consistently took the exact same classes as her, even though you were a grade above both her and Chase. Or even the fact that you always had her tutor you, alone. Or maybe it was that time when you tried to sabotage her relationship with Chase." I teased, getting a glare from Adam. "But you know what, it was probably the relationship with Chase that blinded Bree from your undying love for her." I spelled out for him. Adam shook his head, breaking a small smile as we walked out by the balcony.

This mall was three stories. That was pretty cool.

"It was kind of weird explaining it all to her." Adam went on. I knew that he was hurting for some reason, about something that happened over two years ago, but I really wasn't in the mood. If I played my cards wrong, Adam wouldn't shut up about it for days.

"Dude, you explained it to her a week ago." I said, placing my hands down on the railing along with him. "It's literally been a week since all of this happened." Adam nodded reluctantly. Yes, it is true. It's indeed been one entire, whole week, since that inaugural ball for Big-D and Douglas. A week since Chase left with Rebecca instead of with Bree. A week since Bree was left behind with Adam as her previous knight in not-so-shining armor. It's also been a week since I spilled champagne all over myself. Which is why I can't explain how it's been a week since Kim's seen that weird waiter kid.

I wasn't even there. I'm still upset I couldn't see him for myself.

"So you're saying I should get over it." Adam concluded as he looked over to me. I nodded, glancing around to see if we were in the correct location.

"That is indeed what I'm saying. All that stuff, is in the past, my friend." I recited before getting a nice whiff of something. "You want to know what we should be talking about?" I asked as I turned my attention to Adam. He nodded. "I just got new shampoo! My head smells great! One could even say it's very Malibu chic." I announced with a smile. Adam nodded happily as he leaned down to smell my head. After Jannel let me move back in, I was delightfully surprised by the fact she had gotten me a new kind of shampoo. It was sort of an, 'I'm sorry', present. One that I gladly accepted.

"Your head does smell great, man." Adam nodded along as he pulled back, a grin on his face. "But what the hell does Malibu chic mean?" I thought it was a pretty urban term.
