New York and New Who?! Part 1

━━━━━━━━━

"You almost ready?" Chase teased as he strolled around the corner, his hands covering his eyes as I clipped my second earring into place. I laughed and nodded before forgetting he couldn't see me.

"You can uncover your eyes now." I called back as I picked up my phone and slid it into my hand bag, suddenly feeling Chase right behind me. I laughed and spun around to face him, throwing my arms around his neck.

"So you're ready?" He whispered as he placed a kiss to my cheek. I nodded as he pulled away, reaching out for my hand as he did so. I could feel a large smile taking over my face as he let his fingers play with the ring. "I'm glad you're wearing it." He whispered, almost scared someone would hear him. My cheeks began to heat up at simply the mention. I had taken it off the chain and placed it on my finger the second we got onto the plane.

"Well you did give it to me to wear. Plus, it reminds me of my mom." I rambled before the two of us began to make our way out of the luxurious hotel room. My dad and Davenport had really gone all out. This place was completely automatic. You didn't even need a key to get into your room, simply your fingerprint. Which, was good since I almost always forgot my room key. The place had just opened so there wasn't too many people here yet. Chase had said more people were scheduled to check in after we were back on the plane home. That was when the grand, grand, opening was to happen. Only the elite this week.

"Where are we going for dinner?" I asked, hopping he would finally tell me. He had been trying to make this trip like one big surprise date. I wasn't complaining at all about it, except for the fact that I really wanted to know where we were going. This was my first time in New York so I was already too excited without him throwing in surprise after surprise here and there. He laughed and shook his head, pulling me over to the elevator since we were in the large suite on the top floor.

"The only thing I'll tell you is it's pretty close." Chase led on, hitting the down button before the two of us waited patiently. I both loved and gated elevators.

"Like across the street, close?" I asked as the doors slid open. I hadn't really paid much attention to what exactly was across the street, but I had remembered reading in the in depth brochure my dad had thrown together that the hotel was at the center of the action. Meaning, there were restaurants all across the street the hotel was on. Chase sighed, sending me a, 'stop it now', face as he walked into the elevator with me, him leaning back against the wall as the doors closed and I hit the button for the ground floor.

"Possibly." I smiled to myself, feeling almost accomplished for guessing. Chase breathed out a sigh as he let his head fall back against the back wall.

"You okay?" I asked, reaching over and grabbing onto his hand once more. He nodded.

"Just jet lagged. You actually slept on the plane." Chase said with a small smirk my way as the doors opened again. I rolled my eyes and pulled him out of the elevator, I hadn't exactly slept that well on the plane. It was quite the bumpy ride. The doors to the elevator closed once more as the two of us strolled into the large hotel lobby. The entire place had a kind of metallic quality to it. To the right was an area where people could lounge and work at the silver work tables and the black sofas. The walls were windows that looked out into the busy New York streets. We were only about two minutes from Times Square. Then to the left was the large check in and or help desk with a single receptionist stationed behind it.
