To The Mall With Y'all

"I hate it." Caitlyn pouted as she sucked in her stomach tighter, watching as the dress swayed from side to side along with her. I laughed lightly to myself as I leaned back into the couch. It was creepy how this store was completely white...

"I'm not going to say I hate it," Jannel left off as she sat up slightly, looking to me as I shrugged her way and bit into my lip a little more. I needed to stop that.

"But we will say that it's definitely not your dress." I finished, bringing a slight relief to Jannel as she looked back to our best friend. Caitlyn huffed and nodded before turning and walking back to the dressing room. Jannel shook her head and threw herself into the couch next to me, looking to me for something.

"Help her." Jannel whispered, the sincerity almost enough to throw me. Not that I wasn't confused by the sentence anyways.

"What?" I asked teasingly as crossed my arms over my chest.

She nodded again, watching for my reaction. "All the dresses she picked... She doesn't like one of them. Don't you always help her when we go shopping for those... You know, those dresses for the Perry parties?" She rambled on as she glanced up to the ceiling in thought. I laughed quietly and shook my head before laying my purse down on the couch and standing.

"Fine." I breathed as I tapped my fingers against my right leg. "I'll be back." She nodded, a bright smile hitting her face before she returned to playing with her own wedding ring. Weirdos.

I nodded to myself, turning and walking over to the racks full of white wedding dresses. This wouldn't be difficult. It's not like all of them look exactly the same, but are completely different at the same time. Yeah, I take that back. How in the world would I do in this situation? Well, then again, Chase made that pretty easy for me.

I pressed my lips together as I stopped in front of some lighter looking dresses. She was having a wedding in Jamaica after all. She would need something light and airy. Something she could walk in the sand in. Man I was looking forward to this. The sun, the sand, the beach. And it's not like we have something like that here in California. Note the sarcasm.

I knew for a fact that I was looking forward to my little vacation with Chase even more, though. That practically made my life when he brought that up. Just the thought of the two of us finally being able to have a moment alone from everyone. The two of us haven't had that since the beginning sophomore year of college. But of course that was when we were friends. This, would be the first time in history since we were together. It felt nice to even think about.

"Find anything?" Jannel called from across the store. I sighed and shook my head before realizing she probably couldn't see me worth crap. I really don't think her or Caitlyn have all that good of eyesight. Something I took for granite with the boys.

"Not yet. Give me a sec." I called back, looking over my shoulder and sending her a sly look before returning back to the matter at hand. I can really get lost in my own thoughts.

Suddenly, there it was. Just sitting there at the center of them all. Caitlyn had never been the typical bride, or style enthusiast for that matter. But this, would bring all other dresses of her's to shame.

At the center of all the dresses, sat the one that she would love the most. I pushed the others on the racks aside as I examined this one more closely. The dress had a sort of sweetheart neckline to it, while the top of the dress was bejeweled. The bottom, flowed just the way you would think a beach wedding dress would. This was perfect.
