First Fight and Staying the Night

I laughed as I walked back into the house, the seven of us making our way to the kitchen to put our plates in the sink. My dad and Amy could get it later. If they haven't already hired a house keeper.

"What do we do now?" Leo called just as I reached over to grab onto Chase's hand. He pulled his hand back at first, not being used to the fact that we were now 'outed' to the group, but soon enough he squeezed my hand back.

I shrugged, looking back before watching Leo sprawl out onto the kitchen table in the other room. "I don't know. What do you guys want to-"

"You could all leave." My dad teased as he and Amy graced us with their lovely presence. The two looked incredibly tired. They probably ended up playing Scrabble or Jenga with the two wonderful Davenport's all last night after the news of Chase and me had hit. Chase's family knew their way around a board.

"Now why would you want us to leave, Mr. Henderson." Adam asked as he made his way over to my dad, placing his hand down on his shoulder in the process. "We love you guys." My dad rolled his eyes, gently taking Adam's hand off of his shoulder in the process.

"We love you all, too. But we'd kind of like to go to bed." I laughed as I watched Amy nod, his girlfriend leaning her head against his shoulder as Leo walked back into the room.

"You don't mean sleep." He scoffed. "You mean you two want to-"

"Shut up!" I interrupted, wishing so bad that what Leo was about to say wasn't actually what was going to happen. "They're going to shut up. Just like you, Leo." Chase smiled and dropped my hand, rubbing my back before waving everyone towards the stairs.

"Come on, guys." He called before the seven of us headed upstairs. We separated into the rooms we had taken over before Chase shut the door behind me. We had taken my old room from when we were kids.

"I cannot believe Leo." I breathed as I pulled my hair back into a pony tail. "We got through everything last night, and breakfast this morning just fine. But now he has to go and say something like that." Chase laughed and shook his head and he plopped his duffle bag onto the bed.

"What I can't believe is that they found out about us." Chase chuckled. He sat down on the end of the bed, leaning back with his palms placed behind him for support. I nodded, pulling a few extra items off the shelves of the closet and putting them in the duffle bag. I had left a lot of stuff here when I moved out before college.

"Yeah." I breathed as I leaned down to pick up an old picture of Chase and I. We had taken it down by the lake. We looked so happy. Other than the fact that we got into this huge fight later that day. He had splashed water at me and it had gone all down hill from there. "I'm kind of happy that everyone knows now, though."

Chase shrugged as he sat up straight, letting his hands rest on his knees as I spun around to set the picture in the bag next to him. "I guess." I frowned and looked over to him.

"What do you mean, 'you guess'?" I repeated, half worried he was upset about it. I really didn't want him to be.

"I don't know." He sighed as he fell back against the bed, resting his forearms on his forehead. "I, I just, didn't want people to know yet." He muttered as he kept his eyesight on the ceiling. I nodded, crossing my arms over my chest in the process.
