So, What Are Your Intentions?
━━━━━━━━━
"All I want to feel is the sand beneath my heels." Leo sang along as we rolled our bags away from baggage claim. I could feel a huge frown take over my face. What was he doing? I've never heard him sing, and I've definitely never heard that song before.
"What are you singing?" I asked, poking his shoulder as the eight of us walked. Eight being the usual four, Caitlyn and Jannel, and last but not least, our newest couple, Jack and Kim. They've been totally lovey dove-y the entire flight to Jamaica.
Leo's words, not mine.
"I'm writing a song about the beach." Leo announced as he pulled out his phone. He seemed so distracted. Like he was trying to memorize the words and write them down. I could feel myself laughing before I could stop.
"You, are writing a song." I repeated as Chase pushed through the glass door, sending me a wink as he held it for us. Leo nodded to me as we got to the outside of the building. I'm not lying when I say it's incredibly humid here. More so than Mission Creek during summer or anywhere near there.
The flight was pretty long. Not as long as it could have been, but longer than let's say, our half hour flight to Vegas. Sarcasm intended. But again, just like last time, I was separated from Chase. The girls always think they should have to sit next to each other. So I ended up next to Jannel and Caitlyn again, Chase was in between Adam and Leo, and Jack and Kim had their own section.
"You bet your ass." Leo affirmed with a bright smile. I could vaguely see Jannel sending Leo a glare, one that Leo could clearly not see. Otherwise, I'm assuming he would have stopped his songwriting. But then again, we are talking about Leo here.
"I was going to ask what the song was about, but I think you answered it in the song." Adam continued on, lightly punching my shoulder as the three of us continued ahead of the rest of the crowd. I could feel myself smile as I caught the sound of Chase's flip flops slapping against the concrete. He quickly made his way up to us and stopped as he go next to me.
"Hey." He whispered, making my smile widen.
"Hey." I copied, glancing to my left to see dumb and dumber staring at us. "What?" I shot back. I should have held that question in. That's probably only making it further look like Chase and I are back together.
"Nothing." Leo defended as he held up a single hand in defense. Adam nodded.
"It just surely looks like you two are back together." Adam mussed with a reading smile our way. I rolled my eyes and looked to Chase.
"Again." Leo finished for him, getting a swift slap from me.
"We are not back together." I confirmed, getting a nod from Chase. "In the usual sense, anyhow." I muttered, watching as the two's eyes widened.
"Please do not tell me you two are friends with benefits." Leo said, stopping walking all together as the group circled around.
"We're not friends with benefits." Chase scoffed as he reached for my hand. "And why would we tell you guys if we were?"
"Because we would have found out, anyways." Adam relayed dramatically before Caitlyn stepped in next to him.
"Are you guys married, again?" She questioned my way as she gestured between us.
